I have a 95 GS-T fwd. I just ot ECU+ in the mail this week and I need some pointers on intial settings when I finish wiring it in. My modifications are as follows (everything else is stock including turbo running 10-13 psi):

-3-inch down-pipe back exhuast
-Intake Filter
-Rewired Walboro 225 fuel pump
-Defi EGT gauge
-Boost Gauge
-1g Head swap
-FP2 Intake and Exhuast cams
-ARP head studs

The car is running rich and is surging at idle. I just want to know what settings I should alter first. Maybe to help out with the car's idle. Also shouldnt there be timing adjustments for the cams?

I will post a log as soon as I finish wiring ECU+ in.

I have also posted in the ECU+ forums, But I think this thread will generate helpful information here also. :dsm:

To answer your cam question no your mixing up mechanical and electircal timing. People sometimes retard the exhaust cam a degree to spool faster and what not but that's a whole nother can of worms. Anyway none of the mods you have would alter your car from running like a basic stock motor fuel wise so I wouldn't see neededing to adjust fuel you should just be a ble to leave everything zeroed out to start out with and work from there. WHen you start getting bigger injectors and what not that's when you should start messing with fuel sliders.

I dont have a FPR for the 255 fuel pump. I beleive thats the reason my car is running really rich. Once that comes I will install it and be done with fuel pressure issues. I wired in ECU+ though, and I'm on my way to buy a serial to usb adapter. I should be able to post a log tonight.

Post a link to the log, I'll see what I can do with it, I have their software on my computer.

It doesn't matter to be honest cause you hit the nail on the head your overunning your fpr and running like shit cause your dripping extra un counted fuel into your engine get a afpr and then enjoy :thumb:

I'm not gonna do a second gear pull like that with my car in this condition. If you analyze those logs you'll see that my engine coolant tempature is acting wierd, Jumping from -46 F to 176 F??? It's no where near -46 F in NJ so how could my ECT reach that even If I let it sit for days. Also, the rear o2 sensor fluctuates more than the front???

Also my car stalls after I do a pull which I believe is from running too rich.

Your comments are appreciated :thumb:

The second o2 sensor is just to tell you that your cat is working it doesn't play as big a role in how the car runs like the front one. Most people simply get o2 simulators when they go to atest pipe setup and never have any problems.

I'm looking at your second log now, it looks like your front o2 isn't working at all. It should fluctuate between 0 and 1 when not at WOT. Are you sure that sucker isn't shot? You said it's running rich, how do you know?

It seems like ECU+ is logging my front o2 as my rear o2 and vice versa. I would think that the rear o2 sensor would fluctuate as much as it does. I know I'm running rich from the black smoke coming out of my tail-pipe when I mash the gas.

My afpr should be here this week so maybe that will cure my fueling issues. I'm buying a new ecu also.
