need confirmation

Ok Ive been reading up a little on this and I think it is ok to do the following. Well first off the car is a 93 awd tsi AUTO. So I still have the 13g and 390cc injectors. Is it completely ok to swap in my small 16g, 450cc injectors and manual ecu in and not have to put my S-AFC on yet? I have one but do not know how to tune with it just yet. I know as long as I keep my boost below 14psi or so, I should be fine right? I just want to know if it is ok to swap those things in and not have to do any tuning. I will be using a boost controller and aftermarket guage so no need to worry about that. Opinions?

You should be just fine IMO

I'm not sure if that's everything needed for the complete swap, but as far as managing 450cc injectors, you shouldn't need more than the manual ECU.

ok cool. I had a friend tell me though that they are basically the same and make fun of me for thinking I needed a manual ecu for the 450cc injectors.

Now is a manual ecu needed to do this without tuning? If I just kept my auto ecu with the 450s, would that mean that I would need to do tuning to compensate? Im just trying to get down to the bottom of this here.

Yeah- the A\T ECU is expecting the 390's to be pushing- so you'ld be running rich until you had a chance to tune it.
