nope. tint is an adjective used to describe more than just black and white. i'm pretty sure black, white, and the grays inbetween are tones.

ill agree to that. id do it saphire pearl blue. i havnt seen that in a while.

I think purple would be nice I had a 94 probe GT that had a color called wild orchard it was really nice it was purple with lighter purple flake in it. here is a pic.

That color Probe paint was expensive. A friend bought a new Probe with that color but didnt get a wing. Later on he tried to get one but the wanted like $200+ for enough to paint it(I think it was a pint).

On the other hand I like the Mystic Cobra paint.

Being a person that had a top notch winning show car I can tell you that you have to have something nutty, something that's never been done. So I did this.......

In it's time, it was something that had never been done before, it was Granada black pear base with Pure Fire Prizm chameleon flames, then we had a rainbow of pearl mixed in the clear that we laid on top of it. It was crazy.

For your car, DSM's have nice curves, accentuate them. Use a black base, and then mix in a color of pearl that will jump out of it hard. Use a baby blue pearl, or maybe a red pearl. Use something that will just JUMP right off the curves of the car when the light hits it right. Remember, the best thing for you car to do is keep the judges interested. The little things always make you get more points. If you were to ghost a huge Three diamond star on the carbon fiber, then use the same color pearl to do some crazy graphics on the car, the judges would stop and look twice. Do some sort of tribal on the car in multiple colors of pear, ghost them in. Leave it black though, that helps ALOT. You won't have to paint the door jambs, the under hood, trunk jambs, blah blah blah. you would be amazed at how many things have to be painted when you change a car's color.

a really dark gunmetal with some read perl i think would look sweet, could put red decals on it (like sponsor/product decals) i think that would look good, or just gunmetal without the perl, or blue with red perl, that might look nice

thanks guys, but the sponsors have decided:D

my apologies for defection to the acura camp, but the voted color was the blue of the RSX, acentuated by a carbon hood and silver graphics. Anyone remember an old Axis wheels add where they had a red civic SI with wheel graphics on the side?

Well sine my major sponsor imports wheels, he wants that motiff.

for reference, the HKS RSX would come petty close.

Color change paint or custom hues can't be accomodated since PPG will give us the paint, pre mixed, dang.

besides, after the show and the thing get's scratched, I'd cry since the color shift is freaking expensive
