okay i'm trying to figure out what air intake, i was wondering if i should go with a short ram air intake or the full size intake. anyone have any advice on which to go with. which is better in your opinion. any helps appreciated. thanks

what ever you do dont waste your money on a 200 dollar intake buy a cheap ebay knock off (they are copies of the expensive ones anyway) ditch the filter it comes with and head to auto zone for a k&n filter you will save alot of money and probably not even notice the difference :thumb:

The difference between a $250 cold air intake and a $40 short ram will be so minimal that you'll understand the the money isn't worth it.

I got mine, and all it did was make noise.

Mine cost 90 bucks shipped. Full cold air intake. Nice aluminum, great washable filter. Nopi.com hp racing cyclone intake. check it out in my gallery :thumb:

yeah i was looking at the ones on ebay. and i had planed on getting a different filter. well thanks for all the help guys. guess it's off to ebay to find a decent air intake.

there is a difference. while a cold air brings in... colder air, the short ram is really just a nice looking pipe to replace your stock one with. the only gain you get is from the filter. so why not save even more money, and just buy a K&N to stick on the end of your stock pipe?

there is a difference the cold air intake brings in colder air but the short ram flows better than the cold air, hp differences are minimal and the short rams are better than the stock air tubbing because they flow better and are less restrictive because they are smooth on the inside
