Im looking for a set of new headlights because my stock ones fogged up on me. I would like to purchase a clean looking set of projectors that look as stock as possible. I was looking at this style right here

Have you seen any similar to this or even the same at a good price?

thanx

Those look like the ones on my car. When I bought them about 4 or 5 years ago, they cost about 250 bucks a pair on ebay. Now I'm sure they're much cheaper, though I haven't really seen that style lately.

those were my 1st proyectors too. I also paid $250 on ebay years ago. to me they are the best looking headlights. but I remember that the proyector ilumination is very very poor. must be the design or lens.

i have the ebay ones and they are fantastic. they have the black housing around them like the ones you were looking at. i personally think they look awesome!

They look great, I have them in my 99 GS-T, but they are not that bright. I wouldn't buy them again. Course I had Silver Stars in the stock housings before I switched to these. I just stopped driving the car at night. Thankfully it is not my only car.

I need a projector that offers good street illumination also. Do any of them perform better than stock?

The low-beams (projector) are pretty dim. I recently had the bulbs that came in them blow out, so I replaced them with Silverstars, and there's quite a difference in brightness. The projectors with Silverstars are near-stock in brightness.

The hi-beams, however, are probably brighter than stock, at least in my case. It helps that stock, you only have one set of lights on at a time, but with the aftermarket ones, the high-beams are used in conjunction with the low-beams.

I got ebay projectors, i bought the cheapest set possible, and my drivers side has an inch or so of gap :(
Otherwise im happy with them.

i had those first then i switched to these, i recommend these they look better in my opinion:

they can also be found on ebay pretty cheap, around 140 shipped

I bought two different sets of K2 Motor and had to modify my bumper. They claimed they were for the 97-99 bumper but I still had to cut my freshly painted bumper:cry: Hope you all have had better luck than I did.

I just bought those and installed them when I did my front end conversion. They were nice and easy to install, and look great and are really bright. At least compared to my crappy blue bulbs that the previous owner had put in.
These definitely make it look nicer in my opinion, and are cheap, Think I got mine for like 135 shipped. Heres the link to some of them.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-99-MITSUBISHI-ECLIPSE-TWIN-HALO-PROJECTOR-HEADLIGHTS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQihZ016QQitemZ260110532372QQrdZ1

These seem to be a little higher in price than the place I got them from, but can't find the same dealer anymore. Look around on ebay and I'm sure you'll find them cheaper.

What about using a HID conversion kit. I would image that would help the poor illumination in the projectors.

I bought mine for around $105 shipped off ebay

They look cool but the night light isnt very good because of the H1 bulb, put some silverstar in them and it will be ok.

I bought these exact same ones a couple years ago and paid under $100 shipped at that time. Mine didn't come with the nice factory wiring harness, so I had to cut mine and mess with the wires until I got the wires right so they'd function like normal. Not that big of a deal really, but what did suck is that the Halo's burned out on me in a matter of months and with my projectors you can't replace or fix the Halo LED. Maybe that's the difference in the price.

While I'm at it... what is Silverstar? I chucked the factory H1's and put in some nice Raybrig H1's. They seem to be pretty bright, but they could always be brighter.

I.E. Sylvania Silverstar, which are probably the most commonly used aftermarket bulbs used on these boards.

I don't know about yours, but my lights have a sticker right on them that say "HID cannot be used with these headlights." I assume that's because the HID bulb is a lot longer and probably hits the projector. I did see some ebay HID that claimed to use a HI style bulb. I am going to give those a try, but lights are the last of my worries right now. I'm still trying to finish the 6 bolt swap. I'll post if they work if this thread is still active when I get them.
