Need a new alternator

Don't know much about in this department; But I need to upgrade my alternator
to be able to handle my stereo equipment. Don't know how to approach this.
Will need to be better than stock one to hold up to 2 or 3 batteries. Any suggestions?

Stick with OEM how much power I ran 700 watts never a problem with mine.

Yea either oem or look into Saturn alternators

The only time i had a problem with my subs is when i wasn't useing a cap i fryed a altenator..just a thought

Find a galant vr4 90 amp alternator. You can get a reman denso from rockauto.com for like 120 bucks.

Got mine from autozone ran my amps for years two jls audio, and pushed mine hard.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Mines going out because previous owner ran the car hard for years at sound comps and its getting worn.

Have heard of people running the gr4 90 amps and Saturn alts and work just fine. If you really wanna go aftermarket I would look into a Mechman.

I would steer clear of autozone alternators, they are pure junk. I have gone through 5, and another 2 came dead right out of the box, and I have read on hear and other places the same from a lot of people over the years.
