Ok so an asshole cop is tryin to say that my high-flow cat is too far back in the exhaust stream. He says its to close to the fuel tank, but its right where the stock one was. Someone please help me take care of this.

Thats what i thought. They just want a diagram showing that it is in the stock locationWTFI can see where the cat could be hot enough to cause problems with the fuel tank, but like i said its in the stock location

Tell that cop to prove it.. bust out a shop manual.. They ALL show pics of underneath the car, and how the exhaust routes.. a manual is usually less than 20 bucks, and that will shut his doughnut hole..

DSM hater is ringing in my ears.....

And btw...how did it come to pass that the cop whats to know where the Cat is to begin with...i mean was he on his hands and knees staring under your car? I mean really wtf.

He was probably checking to see if a cat was even there.. They do that in cali.. Well, the ones that have half a brain, anyway..

Just a fixit ticket, but im going to show him the diagram i got and that should shut his mouth. He was on his hands and knees looking under my car. He broke out the book and actually read it to me.Then he tried to tell me my suspension was modified. I was likeWTF. Its stock.I hope i never see this cop again, and if i do all he's gonna see is a cloud of smoke:sneaky:

Yeah, but the one day you try to outrun him, he'll be prepared with a Z06 Police car and catch yo ass. ROFL

I was under the impression that to work properly, the catalytic converter must be hot. How hot, I don't know, but the cat is always before the muffler, and generally close the exhaust manifold/turbo. Sounds like he was just being a jerk though.
