need 1g awd rear subframe bushings

I wish Energy or Prothane would realize how many people need those bushings. I haven't been able to find anyone who sells them except shearer fabrications, but theirs are really expensive, and they are aluiminum. Someone needs to start making these bushings out of polyurathane and marketing them.

~Driving a 500HP Honda is like winning in the special olympics. You might be fast, but in the end your still a retard!

Energy suspension makes a set for 1g awd. RRE carries them.
Road Race Engineering's Eclipse Suspension Upgrades

You should check your source a little better before you post a link. RRE does not show a listing for 1G urethane rear sub frame bushings.

From all the searching that I have done Shearer fabrications has them and there is a guy on this site Ray peters that can one off you a set. He is only interested in serious buyers. He does not make very much on these it is more of a convenience for those that are serious racers where cost and drivability are not an option. He has a thread on here all about them so do a search.

Just so you know, I bought the complete Energy suspension bushing kit from RRE and just finished installing them all in my car. So i have done my research, and No, they dont make the rear subframe bushings that are being disscussed in this thread.

Oops! I was thinking of the fronts for some reason, just trying to help...

Mine have been welded solid so I guess I've never really had to look into it that much.

Its ok. Its to bad that they don't have the front cross member bushings. You get the kit for the front and it only takes care of the front sub frame. How is it having the rear bushings welded?

I just did it last week, so I haven't driven it since they were done. I did the fronts also and both the front and rear suspensions are currently being rebuilt. From my research its going to be a pretty rough ride, but the car is mostly a track whore so its all good.

If you are still looking for the rear subframe or the mustache brace let me know.
These are made for the 1G or the Galant VR4
The red circle are where they needs to be installed..
They are made from Polyurethane which is designed to fit factory location.

The 4 set i have left three of them are spoken for the set is on is on ebay now
eBay Motors: Turbo 4g63 1G DSM AWD Rear Subframe poly Bushings (item 140275343155 end time Oct-22-08 05:23:06 PDT)

I can get more , if I order more that 10 set the price will be $9 less that the ebay price. It takes about two three weeks to get done.
They are made polyurethane which is much stiffer that the OE ones but soft enough that you do not get alot of road noise.

This is a qoute form someone that installed them

In response to the effect of the rear subframe bushings, these things are AWESOME
These bushings made a world of difference on my car. Just by installing these it stiffened up the rear so much compared to the original bushings, it feels like a whole new car. I would STRONGLY advise use of these bushings to anyone and everyone who owns one of these cars.

wow! bid starting at $189.00 and that isnt even a buy it now price. Yes, the rear subframe bushings are rare, but they are not $189 worth of rare. I purchased a complete bushing kit for my 1st gen including the pieces listed below for $136 shipped

- Front Control Arm Bushings
- Rear Control Arm Bushings
- Front Subframe Bushings
- Front 20mm Sway Bar and End Link Bushings
- Rear 20mm Sway Bar and End Link Bushings
- Tie Rod End Boots

This would be more accurately priced if it were in the $50 shipped price range, and i bet you would sell a ton more. For the price of $189, i will just have a solid bushing kit made for my application. Thanks for taking interest in the 1gen though...

I am sure if I was to order about 1000 pieces I am sure the cost will be under $100
When i order the 110 pieces is was $165 for all eight bushing. The large order the cheaper it gets but when I order under 10 pieces I am paying top $$ for them.

Why not send the specs to energy suspension or something? That place seems to be overcharging you.

I found this thread via a Google search. Are these available anymore(from anywhere)? I need them ASAP. Any info would be appreciated.
