Nails on chalkboard sound from clutch!

ok when i press the cluth in it soulds like nails on a chalk bored.. also i can not put it in gear when the car is running. only when it is off once i have to started and hit the clutch to put it in first it sounds like nails on a chalk bored its wired i need some help so if anyone could give me any ideas let me know thanks

when i put the fluid in it it comes back out i mean i dont know if its full or not

it should be full if no more fluid can goes trough

If the fluid comes back out then it is full. but it sounds like a TOB.

If no more fluid can goes into the transmission ( by the filling plug ) this is cause it's full of fluid. The fluid level can not be higher than the filling hole.

Your description of the trouble that you have sounds to me like a bad throw out bearing. But it can be other things. IT's hard to say ... post a video

Are ALL of your Engine to Trans bolts tight? If one is loose, I've seen starter plates hit the flywheel, sounds like chalkboard fingernails... I thought it was a throw out bearing, or a bad trans, but it was just a starter plate.

Had a similar problem. Was the throw out bearing. I would say that. But as for it not going into gear unless you shut if off first, sounds like a bad clutch. How many miles you got?
