anyone here have a safty purge for thier nitrous bottle. IM not talking about the line purge that bleeds the system and emits a huge cloud of nitrous. Im talking about a line that comes from the bottle valve that leads outside the car so incase the bottle has a leak the n20 doesnt fill the car with gas but leaks outside into the atmosphere. Im asking this because my NOS brand bottle did not come with one and want to know what other people did about this.
ANy input would be appreciated.

it doesn't come with any basic kit, unless you buy one packaged with the kit. also, what you're referring to is a blowdown kit, with blowdown tubes to vent ruptured nitrous into the atmosphere outside of your car. usually in the $100 i believe, could be wrong about that though.

ahh, thanks. Thats exactly what im talking about. For serious nitrous people is a blowdown tube completely nessecary? It sounds like a very good idea for every nitrous owner to have one. Its kind of stupid how kits do not come with one especially if it can save your car from filling up from gas and killing you. I read a paper that came with my 150 wet kit that said in indirect terms basically if you kill yourself or your car its not their fault, LOL. But these blowdown tubes seem like a nessesity.

by 150 wet kit do you mean a 150 shot??? if so, you should probably start the "Im retarded and blew up my car with too much NAWWWZZZ" fund to buy new internals. if thats not what you mean then please explain.

I thought the blow down tubes were only like $35? the blow down tube is necessary for track use, they wont let you on without one. i dont have one yet.

Actually, they are only $21. Thats what I retail them for. And you're right; It is a necessity for track use. :thumb:

yes, its a 150 shot of nitrous. Im only going to be spraying 50 first and then work my way upto 150. The nitrous has not been srayed yet. BTW all my internals are built, the car is going turbo later. Another major thing i am planning is either getting the ecu reprogrammed, or piggybacking the computer (timing/fuel) adjustments . im all new to this so theres going to be research done before i actually use the nitrous so i dont blow up my car with too much NAWWWS, LOL. Right now im in the process of saing up for a fuel pressure switch, rpm window switch, nos pressure gauge, and AF gauge. Any other parts im forgeting for a decently safe system?

yeah, sorry, i wasn't sure about the price, but 90% of all tracks require a blowdown kit, or you could hide your bottle and just not tell them you have nitrous, except they found me out later  :)
