N/T Wisemen nominations?

i think we need to look into someone with some serious 420a info. there's a large amount of those guys on the site and i for one no little to nothing about the engine or its tranny.

I think we need one per category for our cars, a 1.8 1g, 2.0NT 1g, 2.0T 1g, 420A, and 2g turbo....just my opinion, but i'd want someone to talk to that I can relate to who is going through what I am.

I've had my head off three times, done my rings, full motor rebuild, had most of my car down to no-bolt-in-no-hole, I work on other people's DSMs and I'm the only one here that's built a turbo 1.8 :) I don't post here much because there's no real 1.8 forum like there is on DSMTalk. I'd nominate fast1.8sohcdsm but he nominated himself already. hehehe :)

Eh, WTF, I wouldn't mind being the 420a Wiseman, if the position is open still.
Here are my credentials, pasted in from my 2GNT signature... Let me know if I can be of service.

not sure if you've been paying attention or not, but i've been wiseman for about 2 months now ;)

Maybe this thread should be de-anchored and allowed to sink, then. Seems that all of the wiseman positions are taken.

I message this guy when I can't answer questions LOL. Smart as hell and knows the 420A engine/transmission like no other. The title of "Wisemen" would be an understatement for him. I could use another wisemen compadre though ;)

hehe... Thanks, Evul. You have a lot going for you in the area of 420a knowledge, though, don't sell yourself short. I wouldn't mind helping you out though...

I nominate me. Cocky, but I do. I've been working at Chrysler Dealerships in NC and Va since spring of 98. I've got a few ASE's but mostly chrysler certifications. Which include: 2.0L SOHC, DOHC FE and RE (front exhaust and rear exhaust), 2.4L DOHC, 3.3L v6, 3.8Lv6, 2.7Lv6, 3.2Lv6, 3.5Lv6, 2.5L v6 and 3.0L v6 engine certs. Noise, vibration and harshness, wind noise and water leaks, power steering, brakes, suspension and MDS which is the pc used at the dealerships for aiding in diagnoses of problems and updating on board computer software. I'm certified for NC emissions inspection, safety inspections and OBDII inspections.

My experience with the 1g's and any 4g63 equipted vehicle is limited however, the chrysler engine and 2g body I am relatively familiar with.

I work on anything that rolls in the door at the dealership with the exception of internal transmission and differentials. I do alignments, suspension work, body electrical, engine electrical, brakes, driveability, power steering, engine cooling, heating and air conditioning, interior trim, and numerous other areas.
I've just started posting on here this week but you can read my posts and see that I encourage proper diagnosis and repair of a problem and discourage "rigging". There may be a few people on here that can vouch for my abilities. However, if you ask anyone from Carolina DSM who they ask for help... and my name will be one of the first mentioned. Feel free to check out my TSB and recall section here:
http://www.carolinadsm.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=3cf2c5fe4fe7df14
as well as the numerous other topics I've taken part it.
Oh... and my car has a few mods to it as well but the car can't fix anything so I didn't see the need in listing it.

How about this, when I am turbocharged, we can have me the 1.8 wiseman, and I want my side kick to be Kalani because without his help I never could have known what to do :)

I would definitely nominate Doug99RS, he knows his sh*t. Whenever I have any type of problem and cant find the answers here or elsewhere online I can always count of him to help find a solution. Plus he and i have kind of pioneered (sp) the jeep TB conversion for the 2GNT motor and are working on another project for our cars now. He is the only one that really comes to mind that I can honestly say will be an excellent wiseman without a shadow of a doubt

Can we have more than one? I may have a cockey attitude but I bought my 98GS as a project car, and have learned a ton about these cars. I've had everything from the basic headers, intake, exhaust; to a NOS 75 shot, and now a turbo for 2 years. I've pulled these motors apart rebuilding them for friends. I don't know, it's hard to nominate ones self, but I'd sure like to try, if not me, 1Bill (or whatever the sn is) is really good too!

Well, it's almost pointless replying to this thread. In order to get the 'wiseman' status you have to be nominated. I know The1Bil, Doug99RS, and fast1.8sohc all deserve it sometime soon. 1Tuffrs and siueclipse help out a lot too. Since Murix has somewhat disappeared I'll probably nominate someone if they let me.
