N/A throttle body on boosted application

What would need to be changed out to make a N/A TB withstand 30 psi of boost preasure?
I am assuming the o ring inside the swivel would be the first to go. Am I correct and can this be beefed up to withstand the preasure i desire?
 
I use the NA TB and all I did was double up #7 o rings on the shaft. Holds fine. Ive tested up to 40psi without leaks.
 
I have rebuilt N/T throttle bodies with regular turbo shaft seals and they've been tested to (and above) 30 psi with no leaking.

I tried using the actual seals before but they didn't fit. Which ones were you using?

Odd, I just remember that the NA TB has 2 different sized holes. The one hole didn't work for the seal I used. Never tried the other side LOL
 
Can this task be performed with the TB still attatched to the IM?
Or is this a R&I repair?
 
You'll want to remove it from the vehicle. I think to get the old seals out you'll need to pull the shaft out and IIRC the screw heads for the butterfly plate are on the manifold side. Not to mention you'll have the dual spring to put back on which is on the firewall side.

This throttle body is a 60mm 3000 gt. Do you know what seals it uses or is it also interchangeable?
 
It's a direct bolt up, with the exact same everything as the 2g, except it has a 60mm tb instead.
 
Those are all you need. The stock ones (if they're still in there) have a metal part (looks like one of those seals) that you'll need to pry out carefully. Then put those in with the closed side out. In the picture, the seal on the right is showing the closed side, while the seal on the left is showing the open side (you can see the recess in the seal). Use some dielectric grease and install them as straight and far as you can. On an N/T, they will stick out a bit, but you won't harm anything.
