quick question.... I think i might have 2 fried turbo ECU's. I am woundering if a N/A ECU will ( somewhat ) work on a Turbo dsm, both 1G. does it plug in? i just need to know if another ECU will boot up cause im having problems booting both of my ECU's. I have a N/A dsm also, but before i pull the ECU i wanna know if i can try it on mine

so i wont even get a boot up? cause right now im not getting a CEL on boot up and i dont have any other ECU's to try then a N/A one

It will boot up, and start the car, but run really bad. I would first look into your car frying 2 ecu's, before i plugged another one into it. Open up your old ecu's and post pics of the board.

It won't run, or if it even starts it won't run worth beans. At worst you'll just burn something up. The MAF is wired differently; it doesn't even have the same number of wires, so what's the use?

Test your ECU pinouts, fix any potential issues that would be damaging your ECUs, and get a working turbo ECU for your car.

The difference in maf pins is the turbo car has a maf reset, and the n/t doesn't. A maf translator doesnt use this wire either. The other differences are the boost gauge, and boost control solenoid. The injector driver circuit also has different capacitors and resistors than the turbo ecu, but this won't prevent it from working. I have plugged many different ecu's into my car, just to make sure they work. The only problem will be the car running 450cc injectors, on non turbo injector scaling. The non turbo timing map would also cause issues if you actually drove it that way, not to mention no knock retard circuitry.

I do, however recommend not plugging ANY ecu into the car, until you can find out why they are failing.

the second ECU i tried is not compatible with my car, i got sold a JDM galant VR4 dual board ECU, #MD 128618, so technicly i only tried 1 ECU
