my trans not going into overdrive

Ok here is the issue, when I start driving the car shifts fine, but when it gets time to go into overdrive it feels like is going i neutral, but if i turn overdrive off it goes back into gear.WTF what can my problem be? By the way this is on a 1995 gsx automatic.

Possibly your end clutch has failed?
End Clutch Install
Doesn't sound like a switch problem if you say you are turning it off and it engages back in 3rd.
Could also be catastrophic damage that a fluid/filter change and end clutch kit won't fix.
