ive got a 95 gsx and have about 6k to dump into it. ive read the tech guide and it seems like a good guideline. so far what ive got is a full buschur 3 inch exhaust and blitz bov. heres the list of upgrades and the order that theyll be purchased.

dsmlink
blitz spec s boost controller
walbro 225 lph fuel pump
650cc injectors
TD05H-18G-7CM²
slowboy racing fmic

lemme know what yall think. if i should get things in a different order, gone overboard on some parts, ect. :dsm:

ok so aeromotive fpr before the fuel feeding upgrades

i think you might be wasting some money here with the parts that you've selected. i agree with the list, but some parts you could get for significantly less if you just shopped around a bit. for example:
that slowboy fmic will run you what, $890 some dollars? now i'm not sure if that's the kit or not, but if it's not, you'll also need to add intercooler pipes to that. but for the same cooling efficiency, you could get an e-bay core (and no, most of them aren't junk like alot of other e-bay stuff) and get some dejon tool intercooler pipes and save yourself about $400.

and i think your missing some of the most basic mods.

intake pipe w/ k&n filter
aftermarket boost guage
DIGITAL a/f gauge (not just the blinky lights one, a digital one will give you accurate readings, not just cool looking inaccurate ones)
EGT gauge (exhaust gas temperature)
some sort of clutch upgrade (if manual)
tranny upgrade (doubt stock tranny will hold the power of an 18g for very long)
upper strut bars (stiffen suspension)
a good coilover/strut combination (lower center of gravity, less body roll, sway, etc)
i suggest ground-control coilovers with some kyb struts

yea well i didnt include the simple stuff that i already have like the intake, gauges, ect i was reading that huge fmics dont really serve a purpose until you hit like 20g turbos and up thats just what ive read tho

Wow I posted the same topic 4 months ago and If I have any advice it's this!!!
Find out everything you will need to compliment each mod before you buy!!!
TDo5 + different intake to fit inlet (I think)
255 + AFPR + 6-an line + pressure gauge + fuel rail fittings + rewire kit
DSMlink + cheap laptop
FMIC + BOV
To do it right it takes$
Look for used stuff and deals from the classifieds, I saw a race Dejon tool FMIC with piping for like $450
I'm half way through my build up and am out of cash.
I guess I didn't follow my own advice well enough.

Oh and with DSMlink
AN EGT is a waste of money!!!
If anything get a wideband to go along with DSMLINK.

Get a WBO2 kit. You can log it along with the other engine veriable swith the DSMLink software.

May I suggest that you can save alot of money and get a Manual Boost Controller. Most Manual Controllers out there are cheap and it can be even made with homedepot materials for about $10-$15. I use a Gillis boost valve (bought it before i found out how easy they are to fabricate) and I have very little spike. It would save your money to put elseware. . .

What everyone else said plus:

Wideband O2 kit
Intake and Exhaust cams
Stiffer valvetrain (so you can rev the sh!t out of her all day long)
Perhaps water injection (if that's your cup of tea)
Shep Tranny (so your gearbox will let you shift at 8500 rpms all day and not sh!t itself)
At least an SBR 3500 clutch kit
Good rubber

Geez! if I had $6,000 id get more than an 18G. I have an 18G and I love it. Great mid range. But I would have gotten a 20G and 720s if I had the extra cash. I have $3,600 in my setup including my car. I think the 20G is very streetable. But if you want a great street turbo and not go external wastegate and garantee full spool up by 3500 rpms then the 18G is an exceptional choice. I should know :D .

Thats why im getting the 18g. ive heard that its a nice medium between the big 16g and 20g and its still going to be an everyday car. also ive still got the aem cams from my old 1g.

A little less than 890! I would say how much but i can't get another warning!

an EGT is a waste if you have DSMlink. Only because you car will run hot if it's running lean. Hopefully you wouldn't be running lean if you have dsmlink and if it is it's an easy fix. It's just other more useful things could be bought with the money.
_just my 2 cents
