So is it bad to run the feed from the housing if its a journal bearing turbo. I know ball bearing turbos are not supposed to have alot of oil pressure but I just ordered a feed kit that feeds from the housing. If it is why would they even make housing feed lines? Comments? And please don't close my thread I am getting quite a bit of info from it and I would like to keep it coming.

You can get a restrictor to lessen the amount of flow from the housing. From the housing is cooler, and it's also been filtered, vs. the head which is now dirty and hot.

Yeah that are the pro's are there any cons! That was my logic when I ordered it but now seeing that it might be excessive oil pressure worries me!

From what i have been told from multiple vendors and have listened to is that if you have your balance shafts still in it should be fine. Run from the filter housing WITHOUT a restrictor, but if they have been removed you will see higher oil presure thus needing a restrictor.
I have been running from the filter housing WITH balance shafts on a journal bearing turbo without any problems of pushing oil. Infact the vendor i bought it from told me not to use a restrictor, this is on a holset.

this reminds me of when I was installing a TT in my first DSM and had an idiot friend of a friend come over and proceed to piss me off from talking BS thinking a turbo time was suposed to make the car faster .

That looks great man. Is it leaking where the WG is? Looks to be a gap in between the flange and the WG on the center top. Mine was leaking and I had to get it resurfaced and all. Well worth it though. No smell and no leaks.

Just wondering, is the wastegate off the o2 block a slim fan too? I see you have no fan there, which is the main reason why I wanted to go off the manifold instead of o2. Anyone know?

TiAL now makes a smaller, more compact wastegate that will let you use a puller slim fan. If you still don't have room, another option is to use the slim fan as a pusher and mount it in front of the radiator instead.
