i got this intercooler from JR, who also sells his intercoolers on ebay

He uses a very high quality core, internally finned, and welds his own endtanks to it, and he even welded some tabs to it where i specified so that i can mount it to my crash bar.

Here are the results.

Its a 25x7x3 core, 2.5" endtanks for a total of 30", 2.5" inlets as well.

Its a very nice piece and at a great price.

I am in the process of making my pipes right now, coming off of a 16g, down between the 2 fans, shooting to the drivers side, through the IC and back to the RRE upper intecooler pipe thats already in the car.

Piping will be 2.25"

Turbo is an FP ported small 16g with 34mm flapper.

I got this size specifically because i wanted to cut out that top piece of the bumper and have some space for the air to get to the radiator, couldnt have worked out ANY better.

I have about a 1.5" gap now for air to flow to the radiator, yet with the car on the ground, you cant see the gap, so it looks awesome. This way i shouldnt have any problems with overheating AT all.

btw the intercooler is NOT crooked, thats just the stupid bumper not being even, LOL...just gotta tweak it a bit, its kinda worn out

finishing up the piping this weekend.

The turbo is ready to go, i also got an evo 3 o2 and ported the hell out of it. I am also using a ported 2g manifold.

Im porting out the intake manifold now to fit my 1g TB along with the 60mm RRE throttle body elbow.

Installed my 550s last weekend along with the 190 pump.

AFC has been in for a while, as well as my plx300 wideband, im ready to go

I am realistically shooting for 300whp on 91 octane with a gallon of xylene(total of about 93.5 octane)

I run a gallon of xylene in every full tank. Works great.

Im gonna make this 16g shine like it should

btw, me and my roomate are very proud of our garage...LOL

who says FWD's cant have traction

we just epoxied the floor and added flake to it...looks nice.

The cabinets you see are ALL gladiator, its their new line, its very pricey but damn the shit is cool

Looks identical to mine event the placement of the S-AFC on the dash. GArage looks good...Must be nice to hace mucho dinero :dsm:

looks good, please keep us updated. do you have any pics of it with the bumper off? how easy was the install? did you have to cut any of the bumper support? do you have a link to where you got it? Looks great, let us know how much of a performance increase you see. oh, and that is a damn nice garage. ENVY! ;)

Very nice. Tell me how that FMIC ends up working out because I plan on doing the same thing.

Hey, what rims are those by the way? They look good.

just got all my pipes from RRE and some turbo accesories so im installling the FP small 16g this week along with making hte pipes for the fmic

The injectors and pump are in so im ready to start boosting, cant wait to see what this 16g will do

also just put on my 1g tb, ported my manifold, and got the RRE 60mm throttle body elbow

My goal is 300whp with this setup

Do you just use straight xylene? Or do you mix it with other stuff before you put it in your tank? And also what is the ratio of the xylene to gas?

Oh bad A$$ Garage man!!! Very Nice!!! And a nice FM also!

You have better cabinets in your garage than I do in my kitchen.

Oh, and nice job on the new fmic setup. I look forward to seeing it with the piping when its all together.

Jake

thanks guys

I use 1 gallon of xylene per full tank of 91, and i add 5oz of Marvels(MMO) oil for lubrication

It works great, much smoother timing, better power, able to run more boost.

I am starting work on the fmic tomorow.

Got my U bends and a trick donut that will allow me to run out of the 16g, betweeen the 2 front fans, down and across to the drivers side, keeping all fans and everything else.

the fmic should allow enough air flow to the radiator i hope...

Its a great piece, i am very satisfied with the quality.

The 16g, evo3 ported housing and ported 2g manifold are ready to go.

The wheels are excel ennios, i know, not the highest quality, but they look decent and arent heavy.

Its sitting on custom coilovers at about 1.3" drop.

F/R camber kits as well for some proper alignment, LOL

I just finished the garage coating at my dads house as well, same as in this garage, its the home depot grey epoxy kit, with blue/white/black sprinkles, looks great, prep work is key to succecsful coating

the core is 25x7x3

with endtanks, its 30, endtanks are 2.5" each

The outlets sit right under the foglight too, its perfect, i will show you guys a picture of the brackets he welded on for me

They come out of the top of the endtanks, parralel with the fins of the IC, and just bolts right up to the bumper support(which had to be trimmed ofcourse, nothing more then 5" IC will fit under there)

But it worked out perfectly, i will take pics for you guys, it came out great.

Got those pics yet?

I called JR and that's the same intercooler I'm gonna get. You bought it without the piping kit? How much was that?

Try centering it.

Anyone have actual #'s on these intercoolers? Or is everyone just going to continue to blindly praise these.
