Ordered them a few weeks ago from MAPerformance and finally have broken them in enough to do some hard stops.

All I can say is WOW!!!!!

13" rotors, dual piston calipers, SST lines. Too bad they don't make a rear kit...

They stop so much better than the stocks you almost feel like you are going to go through the windshield! I also replaced the rear stockers with powerslots rotors with OEM pads (I had the pads already and wasn't going to just toss em for upgraded pads).

And a recent early morning pic of the Mitsu (love the lighting):

super clean 2g bud , love the bbk alot of people on here will give you hell for installing them on a "street car" but i agree i love the big brakes it already kept me from smashing my car a few times at speeds i probably shouldnt have been going in the first place :p

My buddy has been running 4-piston 13" Baer brakes on his 2G for a couple seasons now, and honestly they're one of the best investments he's made to his car. Sometimes guys overlook the importance of stopping and focus too much on going.

I can recall installing them wasn't easy to figure out with no instructions (kit was purchased used). For anyone not familiar with the type of Baers my buddy has, the caliper mounts solid with the rotor perfectly centered....the pads push in evenly from both sides. There are no sliders like a stock braking system. I'm not sure if the shims were the correct thickness or what but if we set them up what appeared to be the correct way the inner pad would fall out because the caliper wasn't centered properly. It took some shimming but we made it work well and have never looked back.

For the record, new rotors and pads (should they wear out) will run you about $500.

yeah i saw that i just wasnt sure cause thats the setup im gonna put on my car and it looks sick so i wanted to double check

I don't know if there was maybe something wrong with my Eibach ProKit, but I had it on my car for about 2 years and it never looked that low in the front. I could still get a good 3 or 4 fingers in between the wheel and the fender. If it looked that good on my car I definitely would have kept it.

Car looks great man! and yea, brakes are well worth the money. I have the SSBC dual piston big brake kit on mine and I love it.

ya, but I honestly can't imagine that one inch would make THAT much of a difference. it's still about the same overall diameter once you factor in the tires.

Your car and brake setup look great man, nice and clean.

I first had a Baer brake setup on my 93 civic and since then I've fallen in love it with. I'm sure there are better kits out there but they are also more expensive.

I got a Baer Track setup for my GVR4. Even though it feels like it takes less distance for it to come to a stop I don't have any concrete proof. But the Baer brakes shine when it comes to doing multiple high speed stops. The stock brakes stop fairly well from 100mph but if I were to repeat it few times they would overheat and the pedal would go soft.
With the Baer brakes I've tried 7 hard stops from 100mph to 0mph and no fade at all.

Nice! Great looking too. I've had mine for 6 or 7 years. It's finally time to replace the rotors.

Did you decide on if you were gonna stick with the 1 piece rotor or go with the 2 piece rotors? That was a little while back I believe....................In one of your threads.

I still have a brand new pair of drilled-slotted-zinc washed 13" rotors sitting here. :thumb:

I'm definitely sticking with 1 piece. I don't think I'd run 2 piece rotors unless I had fixed calipers. As for replacement rotors, I was going to get slotted/zinc coated, not drilled. But PM me for how much you want for them shipped. If the price is right I might take them.

wow soo clean, and in WHITE dammnnn props for a sick ride!! im not sure what big brake kit i should buy for my 1g talon. I love the baer big brake setup, what would you guys recommend for track and street use with good braking power from high speed?
