My manifold is cracked.

On my 90 gsx that needs a headgasket, i pulled the head off (with exhaust and intake still attached) I noticed on the bottom its crack, it didnt leak, at least i couldnt hear it. Kind of a bummer, any suggestions on what to replace it with? I would like the car to run 12's fairly soon, if that make a big deal. I dont want to spend a ton of money on it either. Thanks.

The cheapest route is to get a 2g manifold. It will easily support 12's and can be had at a fairly cheap price. Since the evo 3 and sbr manifold came out, people are getting rid of their 2g's for fairly cheap. I would search the classifieds and dsmtrader for one. I have purchased 3(not just for my car) from different people and have yet to spend more than $100 on one.

That's common on 1g manifolds. You can either get a 2g or buy some JB weld from Walmart to put over the crack. That will ensure that it won't leak.

This is a very common misconception. JB Weld will only hold to about 500*f. After you boost it 1 time, you will go back and see it has burned off of the manifold. Dont tell me any different because I have seen it with my own eyes(someone elses car) and Im sure there are plenty of people that will agree with me. If you dont believe me, just ask 93ClipseVA

Not a chance in hell that JB Weld will live on an exhaust manifold.
