So on my commute from Concord to Petaluma, my gsx decided it would be funny to puke coolant all over the Benecia Bridge at the toll booth. So I limped it to the gas station on the E 5th street off ramp, called work to tell them I wouldn't be making it and decided to attempt to see what the deal was. I had heard a pop before the smell of burnt sugar ensued so I put the radiator hose back on, tightened it up, and replaced the lost coolant (yeah, I do actually carry all this stuff with me, I hope some other people do too). I waited a while and attempted to make it to work, just a little late. I made it into Vallejo and the temp just kept climbing so I stopped at a park. **I think this is a good point to pause and mention another Mitsu driver who was having a worse day than me.** As I pulled into the park, a cop car was leaving. Another cop car stayed behind to look after a white 2nd gen 3kGT, the owner of which, was getting really effed. He ended up getting hauled off and his car got towed. Anyway, I walked down the road and met with the guys at George Beavis Machine Shop. So my car is spending the night in Vallejo. The weird thing was that after I started it to bring it to the machine shop, it really was not in the mood to start. Sounded very slow and sluggish, any thoughts? I'm not even that pissed off or disappointed, just thought I'd share my story of how my day went. Any takers on telling a worse story?

that sucks bro... i hate when the dsm just decides to throw a hissy fit...

my car was perfectly tuned and all and one day it decided to start running real lean and act wierd... i still gotta figure out whats up with it... maybe my dumbass put 87 octane in instead of 91 or something....

One time my brother's 91 tsi awd, on a trip from Dallas to Austin, started rising in temp and we pulled over to find coolant boiling in the overflow.... So we see this other vehicle slowly backing up in the shoulder towards us.... low and behold it was a guy offering a tow WITH a flatbed trailer, which was a miracle being that the car was awd.... funny thing really is that the next day the car didn't exhibit a problem or ever again after that. I think it was just being a whiney bi***... haha.

well just yesterday my GSX lost all power....got it jumped and made it home but i was only putting out about 9V....thought it was the alternator so i swapped it out, started it up and found out that the problem got worse. it went from putting out 9v to dropping down to like 7 or 8V. towed it to a mechanic and found out some lame ass battery wire going to my guage cluster shorted out....ended up costing me 350 bucks total to have one little wire replaced

Hahaha, no. I was living with my roommates parents, in Concord, for a couple weeks while our new apartment was being refinished. Saved flying home for 2 weeks. But I've sinced moved in and now it's a 20 minute drive. Update on the situation though. Got the radiator replaced, needs a head-gasket, probably going to get the timing belt and hydraulic tensioner done while the head is off. Possibly the water pump too?? Is it sensible to get all this done in one job?

Yes for sure, I would really recomend the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, and while your at it do the cam seals. I only say cam seals because one day after I did my timing belt the seals started to leak

Thanks, I'll mention that next time I talk the the guys working on it.
