So i think I'm allowed to do this but no sure so if I'm not then just tell me and I'll delete it.
I just wanted to tell everyone about the build i'm doing and my goals 1/4 mile wise and future mods and such. So I want to hit low 14s in the 1/4 mile, but i'm at 5000 feet roughly. So my understanding is as far as you see level folk is that i should be looking at low 13s correct me if I'm wrong. I have done what i believe is all fluids(engine, tranny, transfer case, rear diff, replace clutch slave cylinder and fluid, and checked brake fluid) upgraded clutch and done timing belt. This is my dd so I am trying to do the safe none harsh mods and keep the mpg up as much as i can.

Mod list:
Full 2.5 inch exhaust.
k and n Intake
auto meter Boost gauge
upgraded clutch(honestly don't know how good it is it came with car but i figure might as well use it till it poops out it an F1 grip force stage 3.)
Rear shock tower stabilizer(think that's the right name)
hks bov(came with the car know everyone here hates venting to the atmosphere. So I'm thinking of getting the stock one back on but it runs fine now so don't see the hurry.)
14b with little to no shaft play.

Parts coming in this week MBC, 2g exhaust manifold, Fuel pump rewire kit, 1glink data logger.

With the mbc set at 15 psi I'm hoping for my goal but don't know.

Future mods:
Porting
keydriver chip with nlts and shudderbox.

How much does porting your turbo o2 and exhaust manifold out help hp or roughly 1/4 times I know we don't do bench racing and I'm not trying to either just want to know if it's worth my time and money or if i would be better just saving for a keydriver chip or some other upgrade than doing that.

Thank you for reading and hopefully replying

you should be able to hit that on a 14b, no need to upgrade turbo yet. You are much better off with some form of logging and tuning though. you want to make sure you are getting the proper amount of fuel and whatnot. Cost effectively, porting is cheaper than chipping because it just takes your own time. But like i said, you want to save up for an safc, chip, or dsmlink.

thank you for the quick replies and I thought that the set up listed by 96 awd would be well past 13s but i may be wrong also sounds like alot of money.

Good to know that porting is the way to go I'll just follow vfaq on that and do it before i install the 2g exhaust manifold. An evo 3 o2 will just bolt right in correct?
And How good are the Keydriver chips the guy seems very legit and he has answered a lot of my questions though email also i bet shudder box an nlts alone are worth .3 sec in the quarter if not more.

keydiver chips are great. I had one in my GST set for 750cc injectors with a evo3 16g and it drove like it came that way from the factory. No problems with it what so ever. I can see using the studderbox, but not NLTS unless you've a good head and tranny on there.

it could get you in the 12s depending on how you drive and other aspects. but why would you just wanna stop at 13s? if you run e85 through a 16g many people have made it 12s, 11s, 10s, and a few got in the 9s.

where to start...3" turbo back is a good thing to have, before you go to crazy,do you still have the stock intercooler piping?if so,better change it now before you start raising boost levels.also get a fuel pump if you dont already, dont want to lean it out.the 14b is ok,but eventually you will need to go at least to a 16g.stock ecu and a safc will do fine.a few other little touches and you will be there.most important find a good reputable tuner and learn to drive if you dont already....good luck and have fun!!!!

Well Yeah I want 8s, but money is also a big issue you know. And I need to keep the mileage up as well because it's my dd and need to keep it reliable. Now i know you can have it faster than 13's with reliability. Again It cost money.

Does aftermarket ic piping make much of a difference? I do have the stock ic. Have a data logger to check fuel trims and a rewired fuel pump so i think i should be good up to 16 psi. But a 190 is in sights(just so i don't have to get a fpr) I was told it would be good up past 750cc injectors. And I'm working on the tuner but no money life is a process Right now i need tires so that's what I'm looking at now. Continental DWS. But I'm a pretty good driver but am still getting used to the car and awd Wich is a good thing for sure:)

I thought that NLTS was easier on your tranny than normal slamming of gears and why is it hard on your head.

That is my dream set up now how did you like it (im new so it will change as life goes on LOL)? And what kind of milage did you get? And how much psi were you pushing and did you ever get a 1/4 mile time with it or go to a dyno?

aftermarket piping helps spool tremendously, will feel like a new car...the stock piping will flex and will eventually crack and tear or even blow on you depending on boost levels...get a walbro 255 and a good fpr and then your set there..with a 14b your very limited..raise the boost and you WILL blow it..FAST...just do the above and get a good 16g and you will have alot of fun for a while.your to get list.....front mount and piping, walbro 255,650cc inj,fpr,3" turbo back exhaust,at least a safc, and good tune.......have fun and good luck

Ok well I'm looking into the supra side mount too. That or a cheaper front mount, part of me thinks the supra is the way to go. I know one guy on codsm.org had run both and he said he like his supra better and he was even an auto x guy. He had a inlet temp gauge on his car and said that the supra did a better job by 20 to 30 degrees and was comparing it to the rre fmic I think it was the 7 inch but don't remeber that for sure.

the supra side mount will make a difference, but not real big...its the hard piping that makes the huge difference, change that first before the intercooler, and then you will see the big difference....trust me...get the hard piping and take it for a drive....
