Theres no way you can go WOT in first or even second for the most part and get good times. It requires A LOT of practice on a FWD car. Get a better clutch and then go from there, depending on which one you get, the practice you have now with your regular clutch is kinda moot.

Does that crx have a b18c or b18b..? big difference.. A gutted, slightly modded b18c crx can easily hit mid to low 13's on slicks, power to weight ratio... Either way i hope you spank that honda and goodluck to you sir...

low 13s on a b18c even in a rex isnt likely. Hes lucky to be running mid 14s

Kolby

no the honda is my boy and he just has a really hard first 3 gears it move but i start to pull from him his fastest time was 15.1

dont get me wrong the B series are some good solid NA motors but they arent capable of low 13s lightly modded. My buddy has an LS teg that can hang off the line but thats only because im auto :)

Kolby

how much boost are you currently running?

Kolby

I ask because your profile says your running the big t28 w FMIC? If your not running the T25 and your still running in the 15s something is wrong...

His 60' times are the real problem, a 3.0 60' is kinda ehhhh get the new clutch, then go from there :)

Ok... So you have the big t28 but your running stockers. Did you research before you bought the t28? Im not for certain on numbers but I believe its efficiency range would be in the upper 20s to low 30 psi range. IF your only running it @ 15psi why not by a smaller 14b or 16g? Just stating you got a little bang for awhole lot of buck until you get some more supporting mods that turbo is too much for your application at the time

Kolby

I am sorry but i wanted the turbo cause it was only 150 plus other stuff with be here in three weeks i just wanted to see how the car does on the track it ran very well and if i dont get traction then it will all be for nothing

If you want to get an idea of what it SHOULD run if you could HOOK then post up your trap speeds. If its anything between 110-120 you should be in the 12s easily if you get your 60ft times down :thumb:

are you serious.... a b18c which is a jdm type r integra run high 14's easy and they weight about 2700lbs... a gutted rex which could be about 1900lbs w/ a modded type r would hit low 13's all day w/ the right driver.... and again there is a HUGE difference between an ls motor (b18b1= 140bhp/127 trq) and gsr/type r motor (b18c= 197bhp/130trq) that explains why you buddy w/ an LS is so slow...

Almost a 1000lb and 60bhp difference stock...

To the OP, sorry to go off topic, and not bad at all for your first time bro... Im sure w/ a better clutch you'll easily dip into the 14's and if your real lucky high 13's :D Thanks for keeping us updated...!

Not to get into a rant about Hondas but.... you didnt read anything I stated. And a b18c what would be considered your type R... I believe its a b18c3... anyways EVEN in a gutted rex it wouldnt likely get into 13s with MINOR mods like the original person I quoted was stating... so I dont see why you took the time to try and flame because my statement was 100% true. As you can see he ran 15s... EVEN in a type R hes not going to run LOW 13s IDC if he has VTEC and a different head just WONT HAPPEN... YOUR talking 13s.. YOUD have to be pushing well over 200hp and be able to HOOK...

As for the LS I actually stated he pulls me from a dig even at the track.. they actually have more lowend TQ than the VTEC b's

At ANY rate Ive yet to see an UNBUILT NA civic or HONDA of any sort run down even a lightly modified GST IDC whose driving. Unless they are on the bottle or running boost I think we will likely see the day. And just to prove my point his buddy did the infamous B swap and is still running in the 15s
