My first Talon

Hey guys I got a couple of questions I just purchased a 95 talon tsi and I guess the belt (not the tming belt) broke and that it messed up the crank angle sensor and some other sensor in there would you guys be able to tell me what that belt is called and what does it do? bk some one told me that the car didn't really need it that belt so i'm confused I used to own a honda so i'm really lost when it come to a dsm. also what are some common problem on talons besides the crank walk thing, for example electrical problems or some thing like that.

Time to start reading, pilgrim. A whole lot. Get over to eBay and pick up a shop manual and if you don't have one, an owner's manual. The Eclipse stuff will work just as well if you can't find Talon books.

odds are if it isnt the timing belt...and u dont need it, more than likley it is the air conditoner belt......u would know it if it was the power steering belt...and no you dont need it...but like the previous post said get a book ull need it...

Will the car even try to turn over and does it have any compression? If not, it's likely the balance shaft belt is what broke off and meddled with the crank trigger. If the balance shaft belt did not get caught up in your timing belt, you'd be one very lucky guy.
