Please give my your opinions on this log. This log was done with my palm with MMCD and it was basically by driving it and feeling if the power increased or not. This seems to be the best power pull i made today. Feels a bit sluggish though in mid rpm range.

knob settings: base 0, idle 3 right, mid 0, high 2 left. Log taken at 17psi boost.

I did another couple pulls after work this morning. I only had 1 count of knock during the whole pull, I was thinking since i had been driving the car for about an hour is why i had the knock in the prior posted log. So after doing a couple pulls with zero knock, I decided to turn up the boost to see how it would look. This is the next log at 19psi. 3rd gear pull. Give me some feed back on it.

BTW:
my low trim is like 98%
mid is at 107%
high is at 83%....

For a WOT run, O2's are very low and timing is high & does not dip down in the lower RPM's where it should. Something isn't right--are you at full throttle? Try logging your TPS signal to make sure that you are opening the throttle at or near 100%. I find it hard to believe that you're running that lean and only getting a little knock. I'm not sure that explains the lack of timing dip, though. I'm kinda confused on this one.

Everything looks good, timing peaks at 6000 like it should. Might try backing down base timing via cas, will help when doing pump gas pulls. High trim is maxxed on the rich side, try leaning it out.

I don't know if I would lean that car out any. I don't like to rely on O2 voltages when tuning, but it's still hard to ignore .78. I would also be curious to see the TPS%.

Are you on stock injectors? I don't understand why your base is at zero.

No, I have "supposidly" 680cc injectors that I bought from DSR. If i put the base to 680cc's, the car will not even run at all. The only setting I got it to run good at was the 0 base and aux 1, which is for 580cc's. I'm thinking this guy either sent me 580cc's because we had a big fight about him getting me my parts, or they are just like that. I read a lot on full throttle tech's website and other people are having the same problem out of their injectors. With the base set to 680cc injectors, the O2's are at .01 at idle and the a/f guage does not even have one single light glowing, then if i tap the throttle, it will finally come up out of the lean side and then go back to being not visible.

I will make some pulls tonight at work on my lunch break with the tps logged so maybe we can see what's going on.

about the tps though, i'm pretty damn sure i had my foot all the way to the floor up to 6500rpms. I also am not understanding why the high trim is looking so rich and the O2v is at .78 during the upper rpms.

I'm on 93 octane. I would like to get the fuel correct prior to messing with the base timing. I think the problem lies in the tuning, not in the timing right now.

O2 sensors will fail on the low side, but you can usually see something funny going on. I'm used to looking at the data trace in DSMlink though, not numerical data.

Not sure what injectors DSR sold, but many people are finding that several injectors types are not rated at the same pressure we run our cars at. 1Gs run a little lower than 2gs, making it a little worse for them. I seem to remember hearing about injectors in the 680 range actually being 580s, wouldnt be surprised if this is the case for you. ;)

No knock on a well setup 50 trim car on pump at 19 psi doesnt surprise me at all. I wouldnt go looking for things to be wrong, they usually pop up often enough on their own :D

Getting trims other than low to be correct can often be a pain in the ass, especially if you dont deliberately spend some time in that airflow range to allow the ECU to adjust it. If low trim is good at idle, and WOT is tuned well, I just drive it on. But it doesnt hurt to give it a go...

here's another pull i made the other day, i couldn't post due to the forums being down and my palm decided to crap out on me. This time I was sure to log the TPS to see what we have in relation to the O2's and the trims, etc.

So here it is, I was cruising to let the turbo spool then stomped on it, that's why the rpms start so high, sorry bout that. This log was at 19 psi also. Wisemen, any tuning advice I would appreciate. I am only on the MAFT for now. It seems to me that a AFC might help me out through the rpm band.

Also, my trims were as follows after driving the car for about an hour after reseting the ECU.

Low: 98.4
Mid: 100.7
High: 98.3

went and did some runs today. This car acts wierd. Some times it will knock and sometimes it will get zero counts, I don't know wtf is going on with it. The o2's though are the same as in the other posts. Even after I richened the wot knob and got a 83% high trim, the o2 at wot was still reading .78-.80?????????WTF?????

Should i just say to hell with the O2 and stick with the trims?

I'm thinking just leave it how it is, go and dyno tune it with wideband and get the a/f ratio, this will be the best way for me to know.

The thing that really bothers me about all of your logs is that not once does the timing dip into the teens, let alone single digits. I've never seen timing only get pulled to 20 at WOT around 3k-4k rpms. To me, that's a hell of a lot of spark advance for all that air/fuel and slow engine speeds. Then, it's like it has nowhere to go, so it just hangs around 20-25, and actually gets pulled past 6000 rpm, knock or no knock.

Maybe I'm missing something. If this is a legit sequence of numbers, someone please explain it to me, because I'm confused.

tiger: 1G has much more aggressive timing maps than 2G. 2G's typically drop into the low teens, the slowly creep back up to around 17-19 degrees, whereas a 1G will jump to 22-24 deg. and stay there, assuming good parameters.

so my timing seems to be pretty good?
