ECMlink My dsmlink v3 data log newbie but it looks like its running poor

Are you running speed density?
What size are your injectors? You do not have them set in fuel tab.
Also what is up with your MAF tab?
You have a CEL for your transmission.
Why do you have checked Enable Fuel Pump?
Your fuel trims are really high 18%, you are running rich based on your AFratioEst

Did you watch the videos on ECMLINK website?

Edit your profile to show us all what you have on your car.

heres my first dsmlink data log if anyone wants to shed light on whats going on here that would be cool.

Is everything stock? If not, update the mod list in your profile.
And please read these threads:

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/ecmlink-tuning-help/444831-list-values-log.html

I suspect you lowered your maf sliders to get into .25 airflowperrev range. This subsequently raised your combinedft and now you are lost...

Update profile, log more values, adjust global fuel for your injectors, warm up the car completely, and post another idle log

I have a big 16g , 255hp fuel pump, afpr,cold air intake, and mbc.

and idk know how to get the maf on do i need adapter and there was atransmission code it shut off with this ecu Injectors are stock and i dont know how to run the speed density i just got this thing today so im trying to get advice so i can tune tommorow, how do i adjust the fuel trim the right way

Are your fuel injectors stock? (450cc) or something different?
Are you setup for Speed Density?

Ok I am not savvy with Speed Density. But you should watch the demos on ECMLINK to get your idle set good. Also you should make sure you have 0 boost leaks.

FUel injectors are stock Idk about the speed density though I havent set anything up for it, im sitting in the car now i deactivated the fuel pump, I erased the transmission code it goes on and off by itself anyway plus its throwing a sylanoid code, how do i fix this running rich thing? and i would like to be able to take my car out tommorow idk what else i have to do to make sure everything is atleast normal?

Your ECU is adding almost 20% fuel.
Go watch the ECMLINK Demos they will tell you how to get your idle smooth. Post a log after you do that.

He says they're stock...

Are you setup for Speed Density?

no he's definitely not on sd...

zero out your mafcomp sliders for now and post another log...

or even better - use a fresh, brand new config file!
http://www.ecmtuning.com/images/forums/v3configs/stockbuilds/stock2g-3.19.40.ecm

Open that up in ECMLink and click 'copy all to ECU'

And watch the demos, like PrimerPlus suggested. Especially this one:
Initial Setup

hey c2ypt1c, I asked that before he changed his post.
Also I am asking if he is setup for SD because he has the options, and some of his selections would indicate the car has had SD or atleast they have ecmlink v3 full and was just messing with them.

So just reset the mafcomp? Oh I updated my profile too you can see what i have.

Its telling me incompatible data because some data is incompatible with this ecu config

Yeah, that was an older version. I just updated the url link to the newest one. Try again.

By the way, your combinedft is much better at 8%. Now warm the car up and it should lower :)

I would watch the videos and do what it shows you to do. You will be much better off doing that. Then I would say you should be fine. BUT please do a Boost Leak Test as soon as possible to make sure you are good to go.

Good, now log more values:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/ecmlink-tuning-help/444831-list-values-log.html

EDIT: oh, if you don't know how to add values:
Captured and Display Values
It's a little confusing at first, but there is a difference between displayed and captured values.

Do a TPS adjust:
v3tpsadj [ECMTuning - wiki] (can be done with engine off while still logging. Just read the entire page)

and warm the car up over 170*

yeah ill probably tske it to my friends shop and see if hell run a smoke test on it

I was playing with the tps earlier what do i need to look for I was wathicng it jump around from 7.1 up to 9.9 is that normal, and I had the throttle pos at 0 percent, btw i just need to log those when going driving right? yeah i know I got alot of questions but i got to start somewhere last thing i want is to replace my engine because i screwed up on something small u know

Just run the TPSadjust tool. You should watch the demo videos first man...

Well, the values under the 'first start up/idle' section, you're going to need for...first start up and idle :D to dial everything in

I don't see wideband on your mod list. If you don't have one don't waste your time tuning because you will NOT get it right without knowing your actual afr.

Read through this now and follow every step. It will be pointless to start tuning your car if all of these have not been met/checked.
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/ecm...efore-you-ask-ecmlink-dsmlink-log-advice.html

Go add the noted values to your captured values list and then to your displayed values list.
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/ecmlink-tuning-help/444831-list-values-log.html

Then grab a log with the car up to operating temp (180°+). Until then, something could be setup incorrectly with your car and tuning will do no good.

Your next purchase should be an Innovate LC-1 wideband, by the way.

Hint: This was all suggested to you before. But we really can't help you if you don't help us. We're pretty much tuning blindly as we're taking your word that the car is setup and ready to be tuned.

You really need a basic knowledge before anyone can even communicate properly with you. Please go to ecmtuning.com and watch all the videos at least.

Wideband is a must then? ok guess i need to start looking around for one, heres my latest cruising post a 2-3 mile cruise i plan on taking a longer one in a couple hours.

Yes, it's a must once you start tuning.

You need to start with idle, unless you have that all dialed in. Post up an idle log.

Heres the thing with my Idle everything seems good when i let it warm up and idle but after a while if I drive it hard it trips out and starts idiling @ 1500 rpms while sittin ill get on that i just drove it hard, so ill log it now

Here u go

1. You need to do something about your coolant temps. Here's how the ECU reacts to high coolant temps.
important2gcoolantpoints [ECMTuning - wiki]

2. Your idle is not tuned. Please reference the "Read before you post log" link that was posted a few times above. Find the link in #12 on that list and watch all the videos. The last one will help you get your idle dialed in.
