Im having the same problem with my 1g. Ill be heading towards a stop sign and sometimes when I push in the clutch my car will just die. I havent done anything to the car that should make a difference.

i drive a 1997 eclipse gs-t spyder and sometimes when im driving and i push in my clutch my car will die. i was wondering if anyone knows what it is and how to fix it.

Have you done anything to your car recently (maintenace, modification, etc)?

Do you have a check engine light?

Does it occure when you are at an idle and then push in the clutch or is it only when decelerating (like pushing in the clutch to stop for a stop sign).

This could be a crank walk issue. You should measure the crank end play to rule that out.

it ususally only happens when im driving around not when im at idle. i have done some stuff recently a header and fuel pump but it was doing it before all that. i was reading some where it could be a speed sensor or something in the gauge cluster? i dont remember where i read that though. the check engine light doesnt come on either.

It sounds like you might be on the right track.

May be stating the obvious, but my old GST did this exact thing when the air filter was clogged. Cleaned it w/ K&N cleaner, and everything went back to normal. Let's hope it's something this simple, eh? ;)

I just replaced my radiator and for some reason my speedo stopped working. Plus im throwing the cell for the speed sensor. How do I go about fixing this??????????
