car stalls when i press the brakes..

Hello all... well my car has been sitting for a month and i just installed my repaired ecu from steve. my car would not start because the battery was dead. so i jumped my car and it started . i was surprized because it has been very cold and it only took a jump to get it going. well i let it warm up for a while and it was smoking a lot. i decided to take it for a drive around the block and all was going great until i hit the brakes. my car died and braking felt very uneven with the pressure on the brake pedal. so i stalled and came to a stop. the wierd yellow light next to the check engine light came on(what does this light mean?). it would not start again so i had to jump it again . i drove it home and parked it in the garage so it could maybe thaw out a little. what could this problem be? my car is one problem after another. i dont see why it should stall when i want to apply the brakes. please helpWTF

First thing: The yellow light next to your CEL is your Radiator - - usually means you're low on coolant, or that your Alternator is taking a crap.

I don't think your stalling is directly related to your brake system. What could be happening is you have a weak connection to the battery (or the battery is bad) and when you're stopping, the battery terminals are temporarily losing their connection, causing the car to stall out.
Do you have a battery tie-down? Do you also have the red plastic safety-cover over the positive battery terminal?
Missing either of these could be making this problem worse.
After a battery has died once, it sometimes just doesn't ever come back to life. I've seen it happen with brand new batteries -- once a battery is drained, it can be pretty much ruined.
Take the battery to some place like Autozone and have them check it for you (free).
Also, verify that your terminals and battery posts are clean, and the the terminals are on very snug.

Do you have a strut tower bar that the battery could be grounding out on?
