Are you having someone finish weld the cage? Looks to be tacked together. I don't know what speeds you plan on running but some tracks are very particular about cage welds.

Yea its just tacked in right now with a flux-core welder i havent had a chance to do the final welding, Im also waiting on my MIG conversion kit for my welder so the welds will be clean and nice! That will be here tomarro, then i can get more done.

I just got to see the car last night. Cars gonna be one bad ass ride. Keep her going Jay. Let me know when you need help with anything. Ill talk to my buddy about the Tubular k-member

Thanks man, money is an issue here too thats why i learned how to paint and weld etc, so it will save me money not having to pay other people to do the work. It was my first ever paint job, and the cage was the biggest welding job i have ever done. It all turned out awseome and im glad i did it myself.:)

Car looks just as good in person. Def a lot of time and planning went into this build. He will def have another talon at his house soon to mess with ;)

Lol, Yea man whenever you ready ill get that fuel cell in for you and any other work you need, In the next few weeks i will have more time. How did your paint job turn out?

Thanks, i got this car about 9 months ago and have been working on it ever since. Oh and the rubber stripping is for cosmetic purposes it wont keep water out, i did use seam sealer on the bottom to keep out water tho.

still yet to see this car!

I have off on thur and fri's now so you should come by sometime and check it out. I drive by your shop somtimes when im test driving cars from work, Havent seen you out there. Hows your car comming along?

Good I had to resand and paint her again that paint I picked up sucked and just sucked it up and bought more good stuff. Yeah I'm gonna hit up that place that does the hoods and see how much they would charge to do a hood that included the headlight covers built in so I don't have to use any of stock headlight setup which will look better and save weight. I'm not gonna go too crazy with weight reduction after that though. Still up in the air about the fuel setup but I think I might do what I hit you up about which would be good for just about anything I can throw at it :rocks: You going with a t4 or t3 hotside with your hx40?

Look what finally showed up! :D

I got a jmf drag version smim for this bad boy. Painted black of course. ill get some pics soon. I need to get a heat barrior gasket then i can bolt that bi*** up!

Next pay check im going to order the housing for my turbo and send it out to get machined to fit the HX-40! Ill be the only one that i know of runing a Full T4 HX-40. Im going to do big things with this car! I promise i will have the hx40 record and close to stock block record. Thats just how i roll. I dont give up like alot of these dsmers that build there cars all sick and nasty and then break them and give up and part it out. It pisses me off and those dudes have to much money on there hands. Ill show you guys what a budget dsmer can do! I have patients I have been building this car for almost a year and stilll no where near done. These other guys slap there cars together in a few months break them then sell them. Im sure i will break my car over and over and over and yet ever time i will make it stronger and stronger. Lol sorry for my rant the dsm scene has been pissin me off latly.
