Any updated pics? I am doing the same thing right now and am curious to see what you do about the harness.

Nice project you have going there. Real clean motor and nice paintjob. Hope all goes well with the build. Keep us updated.

i would suggest to you to install the turbo/clock it with the manifold off the engine, cause i had a huge pain tighting the bolts on the turbo after i bolted up the manifold and couldnt tighten one completely

look forward to seeing it complete:talon:

hey very nice build! Im almost done with my build, the body work was my least favorite part. I have a question on the cage, i am a really good at mig welding but ive always heard that the cage has to be tiged? If i can mig it i think that ill pick up one of those sw cages as well, for the price you cant beat it. This shop by me wants a 1000 to put in a 6pt.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! :)

Again any update on the wiring harness. I'm curious to see how you did yours, what had to be kept, etc...

I havent done anything with it yet but im going to scrap the entire interior harness and replace it with a universal 12 circut kit from summit.

I have been deabting on something like this for my car. I need something that will alow me to have brake lights and headlights and turning signals but not all that other stuff. Even if it's totally isolated from my main wiring.

Good deal thanks for the response! I live like 20 minutes from Summit Racing i'll stop by and talk to one of my guys there and see what kit he thinks would be best! I am more on a budget and might keep the factory gauge cluster. Gauges really start to add up haha. I am also doing a lot of work to my Evo this winter so the Talon is just a side project.

Keep those pics coming I like following your progress it gives me ideas for mine!

He said you can tig cromoly with a stainless steel stick. That's a lot of sheetmetal aluminum you used. My local place prices a 4 X 8 sheet of 1/8th inch sheetmetal aluminum at $247. Your doors and trunk probably cost a pretty penny. Is classed as a eight point roll cage? Is that DOM, mild or cromoly tubing? I gotta agree with you about the s bars for the bars. The way you did it looks way better! Subscribed! You're doing a lot of good work! The paint job looks killer! I really dig that heavy metal flake black. It looks mean!

so a mild steel cage thats been miged will pass tech at the track and be safe at the same time? thanks for the help

I paid 80$ for a 1/16th 4x8 sheet, not to bad. Like i said the cage is mild steel 10 point from s&w. And yea the s bars where ugly! LOL Threw dash looks much better and frees up more room. Thanks for the compliments, I cant wait to get it done and hit up the track.
