i just bought a piar of used sprints this weekend. I havent weighed the seats but i would say like around 5lbs mabie less.

I finally said Fu%k getting a t4 housing machined and got the BEP T3 .70 ar housing. Now someone needs to buy my t4 mani so i can get a t3.

So i got the BEP t3 housing for the hx40, Here are some pics. I also shot it with some 2000 degree primer then paint and baked it.<br />

I shaved the compressor cover and also smoothed out texture from casting followed by a coat of high temp primer, high temp black paint, then cleared it. Pics are kinda dark but it came out pretty sweet, Nice and glossy.<br />

WHo makes the clear coat? I didn't find any true high heat ceramic based clear coats. All the regular high heat stuff seams not to be as good as ceramic coating.

I painted the compressor housing with normal 500 degree paint (duplicolor), they have primer clear and lot of colors, and dont have to be baked.

The exhaust housing is the vht 2000 degree ceramic coating, they have clear but it satin not glossy.

I used the same coating how many coats did you use because mine is not that dark. Your not supposed to over coat anything it actually degrades the coating as a whole. Didn't make sense to me but I got that straight from VHT

I did 2 thin coats, Using there primer makes the black look alot richer, without the primer it comes almost dark brown looking.

That's true I didn't use primer but I cleaned mine with b101 and soap water and scuffed it with 400 so I knew it would stick. Looks good either way. Mine is a regular flat black I wouldn't say it's brown but you'll see for yourself if I can ever get the time to finish the body work the guy helping me is dragging his feet now.

Im getting a good powder coating gun and an oven and some real deal 2000 degree ceramic paint. Im going to be powdercoating my smim, intercooler pipes, valve cover, fuel rail. And then ceramic coating my exhast mani, compressor cover, turbine housing. As well as heat wrapping my erl manifold in black.

I will have 1000 hight temp powder, wrinkle black, satin black, semi gloss black. Then getting flat aluminum and flat black cermic paint, and a special paint gun for it. I cant wait to get all this stuff and do sandblasting, powder coating, ceramic coating, and painting. The engine bay is gonna look awsome when im done with it.

Your gonna coat over the VHT? Will that work? Which company you going with for your coating? I was checking out a couple companies that made ceramic coating you can put in a paint gun but said for the gains seen in coating it wasn't worth putting to much stock into it but I am def curious to see how yours turns out.

you should look into getting your aluminum parts anodized instead of powder coat. that always had a nice look, and might save you a few grams..

anodized parts. Seems to wear off pretty easily because of how thin it is. Powder coating has proven it's durability.
Carpet? No way!

Are you saying I should put carpet in or jay should? Either way why is putting carpet in doing me a favor? I don't have heat a/c or wiper blades I don't think I'm really worried about carpet
