well not as good as i wanted but o well. I got 293.1hp and 286.8tq with 22 psi on 93 oct. motor was hot (just drove 3 hours and ran the car) and I think my plugs needed to be closed a little. The gap was believed to be knocking the spark out at higher boost/rpms. 11-1 air/fuel ratio. wanted 300+ but guess its time for a bigger turbo!

From what I've researched you can't really put together a better or cheaper setup than the ones for sale at the top of the page. AGP Turbo probably would be the way to go. If you don't want a full Garrett setup, than a 50 trim of some variety would be best. At 20psi I am sure that you could put down 300whp.

What you run on the track... I have hardly any mods compared to you and have the stock turbo and I ran 13.5. I was hoping after the fuel pump and fpr @19psi I would have over 300hp :p im pretty sure I will too.

Im sure you wanted more but that is some good power. Way to represent us 18G runners. Most look down on us but Im going to stick with the 18G, mine is in a TD06 housing though.

Add some HKS 264/272 cams and run that thing when its a bit cooler and you will have like 325whp I'll bet.

Nothing better than to see someone walk the walk after they have done the talking. The dyno is as good as the track when it comes to this. you hear everyone talk about how bad or fast their car is, well until it is tested then their ego is shot all to hell. I honestly thought I would be higher in the 300s. Glad i did not talk smack : )
I am not sure what I will run at the track, the last time i went it was with the Automatic tranny, stock shocks, bout 20psi, and not tuned that well and i ran a 14.9 at like 103mph. the tranny was slipping baaaad. Hope to get there in a week or so to find out what i can do with the 5 speed, agx, 22psi and a little tune.

HOLY CRAP! 20 psi with an 18g and you only knocked of a 14.9? I run 14.7 on the t25 with not boost controller! Sure glad I don't have an automatic!

The trim of a turbo isn't by the company that made it. The trim of a tuebo is designated by the ratio between in inducer and exducer of the turbine or compressor wheel.

compressor trim = ((inducer diameter)^2/(exducer diameter)^2)*100

turbine trim = ((exducer diameter)^2/(inducer diameter)^2)*100


If you are wondering what the heck the inducer and exducer are, then keep reading.

On a compressor wheel the inducer is the part at the end of the turbo shaft, and can be seen by looking into the intake on the compressor (look slike fan blades). These blades extend deeper into the compressor housing, and increase in diameter. This part of the compressor is called the exducer section.

It's similar for the turbine side also. You see the inducer when you look into the housing, because thats where the gas collects, and the exducer is deeper inside the housing, and pushes the gas out of the housing.

Like always, please at least have some sort of idea what you are talking about before you post.
 
Man there is somthing messed up with your car or somthing. those numbers should be higher. Maybe im the first one to notice this ..??

I made 290awhp on my 16g @20psi on pump gas (93oct).. 550's highflow cat, afc, 3" exhuast, fmic, 190 pump. my afr was 11.2:1 Did you try turning down the boost maybe getting too much knock? I just think those number seem a bit low for a 18g.

Wow I think we must be in Turbo 101 or somethin. Don't try to teach me something about turbo's. You've got to be kidding me. A 50 trim is how we refer to this specific combination. You didn't have to define what a 50 trim is. What a waste of time. Which makes me wonder why I am even responding to this. Simply stated without writing a whole page; There are some 50 trims, not all but alot, that use garrett products in their assembly. There for are considered garrett turbo's.
