I havent heard of anyone doing it, and i dont see why it couldnt be done. Can you put a muffler from a 3g eclipse gt (v6) on to a 2g 420a? id imagine it would flow more freely, and the exhaust tune on the v6 eclipse is amaaaazing. would it wound the same on a 4 cylinder? more importantly will it work, does anyone have any pics? thanks

I'm selling the car so I'm going to take pics of it tomorrow during the day ... I'll try and remember to get muffler shots. :thumb:

didnt you just get your NT?

MagnaFlow mufflers make that sound kinda. My friend has a Grand Am and his sounds like a 350z, too. I like magnaflow a lot.

Here's some pics from the Dodge Stratus. The 2g stratus is the same as the 3g eclipse. This particular model has the 4g64 in it so that's why it's got the crappy muffler. But like the GS vs GST piping and gasket points are for the 2g's, I'm sure the 3g eclipse has the same piping, just different diameter or muffler only. As you can tell, the gasket used in the picture at the last joint before the muffler uses the same as the stock 2gnt's. Three bolt and same shape.
