hello guys. this might be stupid question but please do help. i have a 97 talon tsi auto. there's a local guys parting out his 2g eclipe with eprom ecu. but his is 5 spd. i slowly want to gather parts so when i ready to build up my car. question is does it matter what ecu is sent stadard or auto. or can that be changed. reason is my car is a daily driver and cant afford to have car sit while ecu gets socketed and sent back.

Being a 2nd gen ecu's had no difference between auto and manual. Between years yes there was a difference. Pick it up if it's reasonable. It would work.

he's selling it for 100 bucks coming off his 97 eclipse gst. that had a 16g turbo, punishment fmic, greddy type s blow off valve greddy exhaust, and some other things.
