More like 130+. Even that might not blow the water off.

ya last night it rained, and when i was going to school i went about 70 for a sec to see if the water would start flying off but nope it was moving very slowly. this makes me wonder why we need hood pins if 70 mph winds can barely budge water

Hint. Surface area.

Look at a wing from a jumbo 747 and a paper airplane. At 70 mph, which one do you think will generate more lift? Hmmmm.

Atmospheric humidity is also another factor. As you thin the water on your car either with wiping or with the leaf blower.... On days where the air is damp, it will take much longer to dry your car, because the air is already holding moisture, which means water on your car will evaporate much slower into the air. On dry days the air isn't holding much moisture. Because of the natural law of equilibrium, water will evaporate much faster in to the atmosphere.

It's the same reason why in humid climates, when it gets hot you feel balmy and sticky... but if you go somewhere dry, like AZ or NM, you don't feel as warm (because your sweat evaporates much faster into the air from your skin).

Take some physics classes. It's fun and it's useful.

I dont wash my car that much.......Its not worth washing it with different colors and all. I normally just wash, rinse, and hit the highway:thumb:

i use zaino and when i polish, not wax the car on an average of every two weeks. I had no swirls in my paint. You can ask anybody that has seen my car on this forum the paint on my car is original and imaculate like the car just came off the lot:D

No kidding. Probably cost less than the gas to run the blower... not to mention the fumes.

I've used it once, when we had a day of warm weather. It works suprizingly. First you spray your car with the gun on the regular setting, then you turn it to the soap setting, and spray/wash, one section at a time. You then have to rinse it off with the gun on the regular setting. Once all the soap is off, turn it to the "autodry" setting which is the filtered water setting, and it comes out in like a fine mist. Just be sure to cover the whole car with this mist. Works pretty good :thumb:

i do that every other week, and in the week i use the car wash..i get 4 free washes a month(dont use em all tho..)...it works fine..hell even in the car wash thez use a 5% tenside(sp?) in their Water to help the cars dry quicker ...

i had the absorber i use an electric blower not gas:cool:

I've never thought of using the leaf blower. Before my car got a bunch of tiny dents from hail, I washed it all the time and would steal my brother's knock off california water blade to get the water off the majority of the car and then wipe the rest down. Without the blade it took me 3 towels to dry the car. With the blade I only used 1 and a lot less time.

the absorber that shit is stupid none of you guys ehard of microfiber towels. Those thigns are the best detailers use em, and get poorboys wax products they awesome too.

Ten bucks at Wal*Mart or Kragens..maybe Autozone or Pepboys will have it, dunno. But it's CRAZY Absorbant..and rewashable. My friend's a retard though..he bought one..it got too dirty..so he bought another one..not realizing he could just wash his dirty one..

me and my friend split for the Mr.Clean thingy, we were anxious so we both washed our cars out in the dark and since both our cars are black it didn't help. I think I'm going to do it again tomorrow because the car wasn't completely dry and I drove home, I noticed a few waterspots when I got out of my car but if I let it dry, it wouldn't have been there.

oh yeah and those absorbers don't work all the well for me it is better then towels but it isn't all that great.

I think that the leaf blower is a good idea, but I would want to have a brand new one - I just don't think that shooting leaves and all of the other particles at your car is a good idea. Also I would personally want an electric one, I really wouldn't want to get the exhaust all over my car... But I think I'll stick to hand washing and drying... I love the products I'm using now, and don't like the fact that you cannot use your own soap... Just my $.03...:thumb:

At the risk of sounding like a commercial: the P21S drying towel is incredible. I've used genuine chamois and many types of imitations and this thing out- absorbs them all. I’ve mine for three years and it still works well though it’s starting to get a little tattered. And the best part is you stuff back in the little plastic container (still wet) when you're done.

I almost enjoy spending time washing the car but maintaining chamois is for the, um… chamois maintainers.

LOL dude, this isn't a leaf vacuum, there is never any leave IN it to shoot all over your car LOL. think about it. it's all just air.

I tired the stuff the other day and it works well, there's no need to buy that 20 dollar hose attachment, I just bought the big bottle of Mr. clean auto dry polymer soap concentrate for 3.99. rinse, wash, rinse and your done.
