i just bought two 12 inch slim fans and i saw my buddies car with the two slim fans on the front on the radiator. bettween the fmic and radiator. under headlights. it looks like a btter setup i think! would this be a btter idea?has anyone ever done this befoer. and if you think about it it also clears up alot of romm in engine bay! llet me know thanks guys:hellyeah:

the radiator fan is 10 Blades Push/Pull Type Fan. i didnt switch the blades or anything i just mounted it. so you thiunk it woul dbe better to mount two of them on the front like other one i did:thumb:

ive been reading up on mounting the slim fan on the front of the radiator and people say you have to flip the blade around. idk what to do. this is a brand new fans dont wanna screw it up:thumb:

To switch a reversible fan the blade needs to be flipped, and the polarity flipped as well, so positive is now negative.

Pushers are less efficient than pullers. The only reason to mount the fans in the front of the radiator (pusher) is if you don't have enough room due to a massive turbo and/or manifold.

Def only do it if you don't have room or if the car isn't a daily driver...

I have one 12" pusher on the drivers side and a 12" puller on the passengers side (because of clearance issues) and My temps are rock solid no matter how hot or how long I sit idling. Temps will hit 200 at most on a 98 degree day sitting in traffic.
The trick is to make some sort of ducting to get a good seal around the radiator and good airflow to the radiator - especially if you have a large intercooler in front of it. Air doesn't flow very good to the radiator after it has passed through the intercooler.

^THIS^ I have the same set-up, I line in phoenix 115-117 in summer, no overheating issues, I did upgrade radiator and use wetter water.

Like most of the people above said is doable. There are a couple of things you need to know:
--If you have AC, 12" fan wouldn't fit. Need 10 " to mount between Ac condenser core and FMIC
--Some of the fans are reveresible, BUT flipping the blade wouldn't work/on all fans/, cause when you flip it,/blade profile/ it's the same on the other side... Just need to switch P and G... I am talking about the Flex-a- lite fans, that I had.
--Think how and where you are going to connect/electrycally/ the 2nd fan to run... I had it connected to the factory harness for the AC fan and even after I eliminted the AC/with some minor wiring/, I was able to turn the fan ON by pushing AC button. This was giving me two options; to run one fan only, or two of the together BUT by my command. This way when the MAIN fan was running and it was going on and off, like it should be. Then when needed, I turn the second AC fan ON they run together non-stop untill I turn them OFF, or shut off the car.
--Do it right the first time.... GL.

If you still have the A/C condenser, you'll have to put the fans in front of that, further lowering the efficiency.

I do have 1 puller and 1 puller and I don't have overheating problems. The pusher is an OEM one off some European car. Next time I have the FMIC off, I'll have to take a picture of it. It's about 3" thick and completely covers 1/2 the radiator. It just fit between the top and bottom of rad support, and between the side of the rad support and the hood latch support. I physically can't fit a bigger fan.

The air that that thing moves is unbelievable. It isn't the quietest thing though.

I also run a similar setup to wazzelby, stock passenger fan and a pusher on the driverside because my wastegate sits right on the rad...
