motor turns but does not start?

well like it says the motor turns but wont start. and the CEL doesnt come on AT ALL.
 
ok i checked the wires on the MAFS and i took off the electrical tape and saw a few wires connected wrong and changed them. now the MAFS reads 0Hz, so now back to square 1.
 
i checked the wiring on the MAFS and found some frayed out when took the electrical tape off. now it reads 0Hz. back to square 1.

Those are good assuming that it's about 55/56 in the garage.

I don't know how much you have been trying to start the car but it could be a good idea to check the plugs and make sure they aren't fouled at this point. Unless they are brand new a fresh set would be a good idea.

When you try cranking the engine you should see the RPMs and MAF values climb.

ok i checked my fuel pressure and its reading 38 psi and when you turn the key its in the 40s. the haynes says it should read 26 - 28 since its a m/t not a/t. is my fuel pump bad?
 
alright i got the car to start it was the timing. BUT now when i drive the car it dies and the dash lights come on when i take it out of gear or stop but if im still moving it will start back up and drive. if it does die i takes forever to get it to start back up. and i think its over heating but my temp gauge says its normal.
 
im still using the es ECU till Thursday when i get payed so i can get one for a turbo car since the fuel pressures are different and some of the fuel maping but would that make my car die every time i take it out of gear or stop?
 
You shouldn't be driving using the NA ECU. It's dumping way too much fuel and possibly washing the oil off your cylinder walls. Plus there is no way to say if it's really 100% working so I'm not going to worry about any problems your having while running it.
 
im not running it, i tested to see if it would drive and thats the problem im having now. im not going to drive it till i have the new ecu, but im wondering if thats why its acting that way or could it be something else. oh and my oil gauge doesnt even move while im driving or anything and i just got an oil change yesterday so i know theres oil ### i always check to see if they actually put oil in it. im sorry for all the confusion.
 
alright i got my new turbo ecu and im still haveing the same problems with it shutting off while i drive it around the block and now my knock sensor is bad because im getting code 31 and my engine sounds like crap. another thing is now my air/fuel ratio is telling me im running lean and the white smoke from my tail pipe.
