Hello, I have a front wheel drive 93 eagle talon tsi. I have everything done to it that is listed in the dsmtuners tech guide to achieve 350-400 horse, although i have never had it dynoed. I recently bought a 90 eagle talon tsi awd, it does not have a motor, front brakes or front half shafts, everything else is included. So I want to take my motor and drop it into the awd. The awd drives motor was seized from the previous owner not putting oil into it, he took out the old motor and never got around to putting in a new one. I know that i need an awd flywheel and clutch, and half shafts. I was wondering if my fwd brakes would work and if i would need to change anything like the throttle body because i know that the 90's have different sensor connectors or if mine could just be spliced. keep in mind that i still have my 93 that I'm willing to take any parts off that are neccessary. Could some one tell me what else i will need, or what i will need to change. Thanks for any help. I really appreciate it.

These are just some of the difference's I can think of between my 90 AWD, and my 91 FWD. The ECU's are different, The transmissions are different. The TB like you said is different. The wiring harness differs. Also you will have some difference in the shifter, and cables as well. The 93 engine is a 7 bolt which is different. 90's have oil coolers.Thats all I can think of right this min. There may be more that I cant think of right now. I believe you will find all your answers on Vfaq.

I know what the differences are in the engines, ecu, shifter, all that stuff. Im thinking that i can just put the 7 bolt awd clutch and flywheel in and just bolt it up. The only other thing that i think that i will need is like i and you said, a tb and the 90 coil. I was just wondering if for any reason this just wouldnt simplie bolt up. I cant find a link on vfaq. I hoping that what this will be is just like me buying an engine and having it installed without any hickups. I do all of my own work, so i know what all has to be done, i think that its just gonna be switch some of my 93 parts for the 90 parts. Thank you very much for your input. I appreciate it.
