This has been like this as long as I can remember. Wasn't when this motor was in my last car but this car... IDK. The engine seems to be sitting far back. The engine mounts hit the frame and when under load vibrate on the frame enough to cause phantom knock, and a lot of it.

Stock Mounts aren't broken or damaged, just sits far back. The front and rear mounts look like they are centered so IDK what this is.

Even on the driver side you can see where it has rubbed into the frame. I was thinking about installing stiff front and rear mounts since thats where all the torque goes anyway but not sure if they will fit right if something is twisted or whatever.

Roll Stoppers? I don't exactly know what this is? Are you referring to the front and rear mounts? If so, they aren't stock to THIS 97 GSX, This entire engine setup came from my other black 97 GSX and never had this problem. The transmission came from this GSX and was recently installed.

I know that the rear mount before on the older transmission wasn't bolted down all the way. Now it is. Also the mount that is on the rear subframe was loose and only had one bolt holding it in. Now its fully bolted down.

Ok, I loosened the front and rear up and it didn't work. Still messed up, actually more now cause I can't bolt the front one up, I thought if I flipped it around it would pull the motor forward.

So IDK WTF is going on. Looks like its the rear one that is pulling it back. Were there different ones? Cause this is the only one I've ever had. How hard are the bushings to push out?

Both front and rear look to be sitting quite low also like in that picture. Like within a quarter inch of hitting the Cross bar or K Member.

Poly mounts have a solid lip on each side of the motor mount. They will center your motor front and rear. Trying to pull the motor around with the front and rear motor mounts is a waste of time. Your main motor mount bushings are shot. Getting your front and rear mounts to line up afterwards is easier when the motor is actually where it needs to be.

As far as your question to how hard are the bushings to PUSH out? LOL needless to say they dont excatly push out but to cut them out? Still a bi***

IF you have a press and the right attachments they do press out. The metal ring with the rubber mounted to it is just pressed into the mount.

My exhaust is pushed back because of the motor sitting further back. My exhaust sits half an inch forward of the flange when not clamped. So to put the clamp on the exhaust and bolt it down I have to push the exhaust back.

The front isn't on right now. I took it off thinking it was on wrong and tried flipping it around. Since its off centered from the bolts. the longer portion was on the front. So I tried flipping it around and pulling the motor forward but that was almost impossible without unbolting that rear mount completely. Now I can't get that front mount bolted up because its not lined up.

IDK what the hell is the problem but its bugging.

I just picked up some inserts from someone online.

Again waste of time. Your main mounts are blown. Details about exhaust are irrelevant as your motor isn't sitting in the right place because your main motor mounts are shot. The mounts are a breeze. A drill with a 3/8th bit, a big screwdriver and a hacksaw are all that's needed. Fix your main problem then try to sort of the rest. Trying to fix side effects of blown mounts isn't going to fix your mounts.
