My 14b is not hitting boost it starts to build at about 3k rpm but that's when my transmission shifts (auto) I have a leak in the feed line which I have been trying to fix but have not succeeded and all intercooler pipng seems good and is tighten securely. I have the wastegate connected to a nipple on my jpipe and is teed with a vacuum line going to my intake that was there with my t25. ideas on what's causing the problems?

First off, if there is a leak in the feed line, you likely shouldn't be boosting anyway. Have you completed a BLT (boost leak test)? Just because it "appears" good, doesn't mean there isn't a leak. Warm soapy water in a spray bottle will also help finding leaks when you pressurize the system.

Leaks can also occur at the throttle body and intake manifold.

I've been trying to adjust the fitting for the feed line but I cant get anything to fit :/ I've Baught a whole bunch of stubby wrenches but nothing works. I'll check for boost leaks when it stops poring rain.

Your transmission shifts at 3000 Rpms at wot?

Fix your oil leak, do a boost leak test, then do a wot pull starting at 2,000 rpms.

Also, run a line straight from the j pipe nipple to the wastegate. The way you have it setup, you'll overboost when you get the turbo boosting properly.

You will need two wrenches. One to hold the fitting on the chra, and one to tighten the fitting on the feed line. If you do not have any wrenches small or skinny enough to fit, then you could remove the turbo to manifold bolts and should be able to make enough room to do what you need. The weight of the turbo would be fine to be held temporarily by the down pipe and other lines. Then just bolt it back up and torque to spec. After running a few heat cycles, you will want to re-torque the bolts (only when cold).

Did you try this for your feed line? This is from your other thread.

So just the j pipe to wastegate? The other line should just be another vacuum line similar to the nipple on the jpipe just farther away right??

It depends on if you are trying to use the stock boost control. But if you run a t off of the line between the j pipe and wastegate with a line straight to the intake the wastegate won't open.

Now, if you run a t off that line to a boost solenoid, with the other end of the solenoid running a line to the intake, that's the stock boost control configuration.

Are you running an OEM or aftermarket line? On my SS feed I basically tightened the adapter into the turbo for it, then stuck a wrench on the right side of the 90 degree portion of the line to keep the line aligned properly, then tightened it with a wrench at a stupid high angle. A crows foot or a way more compact wrench are ideal for something like that.

I'm using the fp 16 install kit so it ss line with a elbow going to the oil feed. I'm going to try the crow foot. And a bunch of other things. I just find it amazing how big of a wrench it takes with no clereance at all. I think it's like a 17mm.

Ah ok this is pretty much the same as mine then. Yeah I was surprised as well, the correct size wrench barely fits in there. Like I said shoving another wrench to hold the 90 straight while you tighten the other two parts helps a lot, I kept having the elbow rotate and pull on the line the first time I did it.
