motor problems... fresh rebuild

Hey guys just finished the fresh rebuild but when I rev it the car is throwing white smoke from the breather filter... What could it be? I got .020 and got it honed at a local machine shop.. Is it bad to rev it? Car still on jackstands but I let it idle for about 10-15 mins then I would rev it slightly... At idle there is no smoke... Please help... THanks...

If your cars been sitting there for a while, it can be condensation of water. Usually white smoke means water vapours.

Some people telling me I could have cracked my head or cylinder walls... It only throws smoke when I rev it though... Could it be pushing coolant?

Ultimatedsm is probably right. I did a full rebuild on my car, and it smoked for quite a while. Just keep on eye on your coolant level just in case.

Called up slowboy and ams and I think I know what the problem is... When I got the motor bored and honed they forgot to give me back the alignment dowels... and me being impatient I still went ahead and aligned it to what looked to be perfect... Found out today the alignment dowels are needed because it can still move enough to push coolant..
