motor mounts

so im going to be swapping a 2.0 4g63 into a 1.8 body they are both 93 talons i had a guy tell me i would have to fab up new motor mounts but i looked and all four seem to be in the same spots i havnt messured but are they the same?

you will need the actuall mounts that bolt to the 4g63 and the upper drivers side bar that mounts to the 4g63 by the cam gears. the locasions in the chassis are not changes. from what i hear it is a bolt in if you find the right parts.

i think the ecu is different too.

ECU, Wiring Harness, Drivers side motor mount are different. Wouldnt be a bad idea to get, at least, a 2.0 N/T cluster at a minimum. Also, are you installing a turbo transmission and axles?

the 4g63 already has a turbo and i was thinking about installing the transmission to but the 1.8 has one and i was gonna do the front suspension its only fwd

I highly doubt the tranny for the N/A 98hp 1.8l will handle the power of the turbo motor for very long. Also, it doesn't matter what the engine has, it's not going to work without the wiring harness ad ECU.

because the 2.0 body is wrecked and the 1.8 motor is seized

Motor mounts and brackets are not the same between 1.8, 20 n/a and 2.0 Turbo even though they are all fwd cars. The differences are not huge but they would prevent your engine and transmission to sit right.
