So I've read on these and finally pulled the trigger and bought one. I've seen guys mount them from the valve cover to the core support. This blows my mind...

So that being said, where is a GOOD place to mount it?

It came with zero brackets, and I'd ideally like to see it.

Go!

You're right, better mounts would be the solution.... If it were a problem. But honestly they were an impulse buy when I bought my pistons and rods. I figured, "eh, I'm all wheel drive, but I would pay $50 for some more stability, and at the very least, some engine bay flair.

It's just like the picture but stronger, and no brackets.

I never bought one because I could never find a reasonable effective place to mount it. I had one on my other car and the difference is night a day. In my opinion it's better then my motor mounts.

I was thinking fire wall too, but where is a secure place on the engine? I'd hate to mount it to the intake mani and hurt something. (aluminum)

Well, anywhere north of the head gasket will create the same issue since it's all aluminum, and only from there will the damper make a difference. My only other thought is maybe rig something to work with the top of where the A/C compressor mounts. As much as it'd be cool to have if it functions, our engine bay layout and engine design just don't make it very feasible. Like it's been said, upgrading the engine mounts may be the only viable solution.

Unless you build some sort of bridge across the valve cover, such as maybe a sheet of 1/8" steel, and mount the damper to that and have the bridge mounted with the valve cover bolts somehow. Or you could try to link it from the driver side engine mount to the frame rail behind it, basically the wheel well/strut tower. If I remember this in the morning, I'll make a picture of what I'm thinking.

So you're saying it should go on my Chevy? Lol.
