More Converter Questions?

I just have a few simple questions.

I have herd that whatever stall you have is were the tranny will engage. Does this mean if i get mine re-stalled to like 4000 that i can power brake it till 4000 no problem without it pulling so hard i cant hold it? If so would it have the same affect if i wanted to be able to launch at 4500 is that were i would want my stall to be at?

I am kind of conused on what the higher stall even does.

I suggest you read these articles. It'll answer a lot of your questions.
If you want to launch at 4500, then you would need a 4500 stall, but not just "I want a 4500 stall" out of the blue.
