Modifying the exhaust... gotta question.

Well actually got a few questions. I'm in the midst of ordering an HKS cat-back system for my TSI AWD (95) and i got to thinking well since I'm doing cat-back why not go ahead and do it all (turbo back)? So I start looking for a 3" test-pipe. Only ones I'm coming across advertise for 1g's. Simple question will the 1g's 3" test pipe work on a 2g? I'm also wanting to get a 3" down pipe also to bolt to the stock turbo, any recomendations? should I try and keep it all HKS or is there a better one? I've always liked Greddy and HKS products, but I'm just wanting some other folks .02.

you can just have a test pipe made by an exhaust place for cheap. it's a simple straight piece with 2 flanges, so it would be hard for anyone to screw up making.

The two options listed on this page are probably more budget friendly. But even if you do still want the HKS catback, it will provide good options for the downpipe and test pipe.

I plan to just do a downpipe with a cutout. No back pressure/ loud when I want, or quiet when I want. Just an idea...

yea i thought about the idea, of a cutout. Just don't care about the loudness... I like the clean deep mellowed tone that Greddy and HKS offer.
