The turbo inlet is facing the wrong way on that shirt. :shhh:

Heh, heh.. I noticed that too. the event was pretty much geared towards the Evo, i guess their shirts are no exception.

For all the East Coast guys complaining, I'd love to be able to cruise out to the Shootout every year.

This was a significant event for the whole DSM/Mitsubishi community - it wasn't just any DSM meet. It was organized and hosted by Mitsubishi North America. The people who were pushing the event were trying hard to get all of the most modified DSMs/Mitsus to go out and represent for all of us so that Mitsu headquarters could see the passion and enthusiasm we have for these cars. It was more than just a "walk around and look at cars" type of event. It was more about helping the future of Mitsu and letting them see that they should continue to cater to the enthusiast like the folks at Ford do every year.

I only wish my car was put together in time so I could have driven 300 miles to show my support. I'm hoping this event was enough to make the Mitsu execs appreciate our passion and hopefully they'll keep catering to us.

yeah i would like one of those Wake Up and Drive plate also.. and a shirt would be GRRREAT! :thumb:

Mitsubishi also had "Wake Up and Drive" painted on the entry driveway, anyone got a pic of that? They should have that on the 405freeway in SoCal also.

The "Bible scripture" car, I talked to the owner nice guy, didn't mention anything about the scripts on the car, but it did the job of getting peoples attention, and also making people take pictures......

the turnout looks amazing and I really need one of thos shirts

I have to ask though, how many of them broke down and had to be towed home? :D

Well it is rumored that someones oil cap was stolen and I got a flat tire on my way home. Pulled over, changed the tire out for the spare. Then drove not even a block and the tire came off the rim. Not very fun but luckily I was 20 feet from the Sears automotive store. :D :thumb: :talon:

It was also fun counting the wet spots under most of the DSM's. Wether it be tranny or oil, Mitsu needed to rinse the lot down after we all left.

You're more than welcome to drive to Phoenix a day early and cruise up there with az2gnt. Should be at least two cars rolling out the Tuesday before. Of course, you'd have to deal with hanging with (dare I say it) 2GNTers, but I think it's safe to say that any DSM owner who makes the drive to the Shootout is a brother in arms and we can all come together as one. I don't even think Daisy got clowned (as much) for being NA at MOD. (She was just really, really loud.) :sneaky:

Nice photos. I feel like I was part of your group after scrolling through them all.. heh.

I saw my car in some of those pics....twice! both pics my car was in the background. haha. Some of the guys that were taking pics for Mitsu asked me to pull mine out and they took a couple snaps of it, i felt special, like short bus special. I had a blast, it was good to see so many AZ heads there. We left Friday night a lil after 8pm, got lost a couple times, and finally crashed at the hotel around 3am. Good cruise, there and back...hit a-buck-twenty-five and some change a couple times ROFL . I was like a kid in a candy store with ADD i didnt know where to start, what to take pics of...but I got some good ones, like when the Mitsu's were 3 cars wide for almost a ¼ mile, blocking traffic at the intersection leading to the entrance....droooooool. Keep postin pics, i'll try and get mine on here. :rocks:

damn. i regret not going. next year is a for sure though. damn i should have checked dsmtuners on friday. sorry funk, next time ill hit you up for sure. we should still chill one of these days though.

Im hoping thats 4th gear....my car is usually doing 130ish+ in 5th at that RPM range, but then again i might be a lil off, I tend to watch the road a lil bit more than I do the tach at those speeds. Like when I used 3-4 semi trucks as a rolling slalom, I was around 120mph and just swept left and right through em with style and grace, it was as if at 55 mph. Perfectly spaced out...Mike or Morris, how did that look from the jeeps perspective?? :sneaky:

hahahaha..... that's funny. LOL!

Did you all notice that the concept 2G had the 2Gb front bumper, but Mitsu saved it for the later years and introduced the 2G with the not so pretty bumper?

yer check engine light is on LOL
Yeah. Damn Evap leak and I just yanked the EGR system when we reinstalled the engine. It's been my copilot for a few years now. Good thing I don't have to do emissions here in Arizona. :shhh:

As for doing 125 at 5krpm, I was in 5th, but its a 2GNT... and I still have almost 3,000rpm to go before I hit my limiter. Soon to be 4,000rpm... :sneaky:
