Hey my truck broke down the other day. It just shut off on the highway out of the blue. I get no fuel or spark. I listened for the fuel pump to turn on to prime, nothing. I tried to see if it was getting spark, nothing. I tried starting fluid also and got nothing. It just turns over.

I am thinking the ECU took a dump but I want to get some more input on the subject before I drop 175 dollars on a new one.

also check if it may have an asd relay or something like it. i know on dodges when they go you get what your talking about.

My fuse box under the hood has like three fuses if that in it. It is about the size of a cigarette box. Honestly I have no idea what kind of fuse they are. Then I have the fusible links a little ways from the 'fuse' box.

All the fuses under the dash are fine. The fusible links looked good, and the fuse box(under hood) fuses looked fine.

I just took the ECU out and looked at it. No blown caps on it and it does not smell like anything burned up, nor does it look it anything burned on the backside.

Edit:

I ordered new fusible links, ignition switch and Multi purpose relay. If I still have the problem I will order a new ECU....

I solved my problem.

It was the CPS/CAS whatever you want to call it. Anyway that is the reason the truck would not get fuel or spark. Now the CPS was not broken though, turns out the timing belt snapped. However I can turn the engine over by hand or with the starter and it still has compression(I can hear it).

Wiki says the early 4g64 is a non interference engine. Guess its time for an overhaul.
