Are Mitsu and Hyundai cam caps the same? The reason being is I have a G4CN [4G67] head on a 4G64 and planning to install regrind cams that came from a 2G 4G63 head.

You should use the cam caps that originally came with the head. And make sure you put the cam caps in the correct spot. You shouldn't switch cam caps between heads.

You may also still want to plastigauge them to confirm the correct clearances are present.

caps CAN NOT be taken from one head and installed on another head, with out having the cam bore align bored/honed.

just wondering if there was a difference between the cams more than the cam caps. thanks for everyone input.

ok then... what are you looking for as far as the cams? are you wanting to use the hyundia cams in your mitsu?
are you looking for lift and duration specs?

Well basically, the cams I took from the 94 Galant GS were send to DeltaCams to be spec'd and regrind to 272/264.

are you wanting to use the hyundia cams in your mitsu?
No vice versa. Wanting to know if there will be any interference using the Mitsu cams in the Hyundai head.
