top picture is engine coolant temperature sensor. Not sure which one, there is one for the gauges, and one for the ecu.
 
so where might i find this plug hanging? or cut off :mad: would it have to do with having a 6bolt motor? i would think it would all still plug together since i still have 2g ecu and all that....both the ecu and gauge inside seem to operate, although on my last log it never got warmer then like 220F i think? seems too cool? also im in the process of tryin to figure out how my car chugs antifreeze, dunno if its a leak or what yet. maybe related to missing plug?
 
The second pic is for your evap emissions crap, I am guessing you do not have a charcoal canister either. Eh forget it, if you pass your smog check then your ok. It wont kick a CEL being disconnected, mine has been for 4ish years.
 
the first pic... is a 1g temp sender for the ECU a 2g one has a plastic plug but the 1g is just like a 2 prong thing.
 
THE 2ND pic is either the charcole canister or EGR valve siliniod.

Why is the coolant line blocked off in the 1st pic?
Does your water temp gauge work ?
 
i was wondering that myself, i got the car and slowly started discovering great and wonderful things...

water temp gauge in the dash moves but dont know how accurate it is. ive never seen it pass halfway between the second and third notch. i think the highest ive seen the temp logged was like 210. supposedly the coolant system was redone by RRE but waiting for the receipts on that. where is it supposed to go?

about the plug, my ECU is reading a temp, but i have a 2g ECU, do i need to do anything with that 1g plug or not?
 
If you have a 6 bolt, some of the sensors on the thermostat are not used so dont worry if your car sint overheating...im pretty sure thats one of the unused ones...i can check my car for you if you want, just say so.

The second pic is your egr solenoid most likely and it used to have vaccum lines from your egr and intake manifold going there but with a 6 bolt, the emissions were probably eliminated so you should be fine unless you are throwing a code.

The charcoal canister is part of the emissions system and has a bunch of the vacuum lines going to it...again yours is probably gone. If you want to look for it to make sure, its either under your battery or under your driver side headlight.
