I installed a B&M short shifter last night and I think I am missing a part and was wondering if anyone can tell me for sure, and if so - what can I use or where can I get it? The part is circled in the pic below, and on the stock shifter, this shift rod/cable was held in place by a cotter pin. Thanks!

I swear I don't see a hole! LOL

I'll look again tonight

Thanks!

Edit - No see the bottom of those instructions...there is an "E clip" that I am missing...that's what I thought. Thanks for the instructions link though!! I forgot to mention, I bought this used and did not have instructions.

Ye.. You can't use a cotter pin because there is no hole. The Ec-clip is a PITA to seat on the pin.

Der...I can read :toobad:

Sorry about that!

NP - I appreciate the link to the directions...I didn't have them and was installing blindly. I found a hobby place that sells those clips, I just need to go home and measure what size I need :thumb:

I lost the supplied e-clip into the abyss. I wrapped a small paper-clip around the clip notch :shhh: with the intentions of finding another e-clip for it. That was a couple years ago; I never did get around to installing a proper e-clip.

Nice :D

Do the stiff shift kit while you are at it man! Night and day difference.

What's the stiff shift kit?

I put the underhood metal bushings in, and I also put the Symborski (spelling?) shifter base bushings in as well - is that what you mean?
