Ok.. 2 questions.
I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS Automatic.
1st question:
The check engine light is on. I had autozone check it and it was determined that it was a the number 2 cylinder misfiring. What would cause this? spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor?
A few weeks ago I changed the driver's side axle, and just check the spark plugs. Put them all back in and then the car started stuttering at idle and while driving. It seems it only misfires when below 3000 RPM's.
Any thoughts on this would be great.
2nd question:
The car wont start. I listened and heard that the fuel pump was not coming on/priming when I turned the key (I would turn the key, and wait for the check engine light to go off, and the fuel pump was not coming on). What would cause the fuel pump not to work? It does not do this all the times. This is only random. It happens when the car is cold and hot. Sometimes the car starts, and sometimes it doesn't.
Do these cars have a main fuel relay like Honda's do? if so, where would it be located?
What would be causing this problem?
Thanks for everyones help.
